Thanks for the tips. I'm poundin the LIKE button and subscribing just because of that Robert Cammarata back and forth. lol Cheers to you! I'm just starting out and love new takes on basics and overlooked ideas. You really are a sucker for details in that awesome, nothing goes to waste sorta way. I'm poor and my nice airbrush setup cost a bit, so any ways I can scavenge and use unconventional methods or materials, I'm down. But that's just how I'm wired. Very relatable. Some of the coolest images I've done was using a single twist-tie in a certain shape as a tiny mask and oversprayed repeatedly while moving the mask. Meh. You get the idea. Thanks again.

I use baby food jars to hold my paint I'll need again in a few minutes. When I'm all done with it I put it in a big baby food jar marked trash paint and I practice with that later.

Not as automatic but I have used transparency panels that I then cut by hand. Makes great, reusable templates. I print them on a laser printer with shapes I've drawn in Photoshop using the shape tools. There are thousands of custom shapes available online that can be applied or modified.

You did a review on a harbor freight airbrush on another vid just wanted to share some info on a different brand. I have like 6 iawata brushes including the custom micron. I bought a master model 44 and it has a .15 needle itworks great as a back up brush to the custom micron. Its like 50 bucks if i remember rite.some parts for this brush will interchange with the cm brush as well. I can paint three detailed sculls on a dime with it.

It's still getting views, will my Labatt Blue or PBR boxes make decent templates or do I have to start drinking light beer?

Great information. I enjoyed watching this particular video. I am excited for my Iwata jar fed airbrush and compressor to arrive at the art store that I ordered it from. Also it is the very store and studio where I am learning airbrush! I also plan on getting an Iwata gravity feed airbrush as a supplemental airbrush so that I can change paint colors quicker and easier. As a practice or final art surface, do you recommend Bristol board? (in pad form?)

For practice, use the back side of a desk top or wall hanging calendar.

At the beginning of your paint demo you said your paint was spidering. What did you do to correct that??
@coasmechteranic7 жыл бұрын
Bob Rutan lower air pressure or thicker paint. ...or both.

Jack why didn't you wear a mask? One thing that painters always stress is safety. Just curious, not to shame you, because I'm working in a large space (as you seem to have been) and wonder if it's as important than if a painter is working in a small confined space, say a booth.

No you can not use coupon for any airbrush.

Using any kind of templates or masks is NOT spraying "freehand", BUSTED, "freehand" is airbrush ONLY! 🤣🤣🤣
