Freestyle rapping originally meant non written rhymes off of the top of the dome, made on the spot. Then, people started categorizing loosely associated rhymes that are memorized and spit with no pad or phone to read from as a "freestyle." Not really sure you completely understand the 'Top of the Dome' reference in the bars. There might be some written parts in this as with any Freestyle, but the Alkalinity bar you liked was in reference to the Alkaline water in the studio. you have to set up the reference in the area and most 'set up' bars from an artist are pre written and rehearsed. also, Area 51 is the sponsor for the come up show. He even goes into a Law scheme at the end of his second verse as a tie in to the first sponsor scheme using Top Dawg Law. I get the way they flow it all seems written, but you can tell when they are using the environment to place their punches versus using the pen to play with schemes in bunches. Really hard to do it off rip though, so I commend you for your attempt.

But I never thought I was a better freestyler than those who didn't have that skill. I just had a skill to do it off the top. That never ever took away from anybody else while in ciphers. Nobody cares if it's written or not in a freestyle cipher, who ever had dope bars was getting reactions. It's always been that way. Going off the top is just a trained skill.
