How do these numbers add up? Investing for eight years making an average of 75,000 living on 40,000 and having $750,000? Did one or both individuals come into the relationship with large chunks of investment already? She states that she only started investing eight years ago after taking a year off. something doesn’t add up to me. Three rentals would imply, debt, healthy or not are the value of the three homes included in the 750,000 so you actually have that but will in the future?

The numbers don't add up unless they're not counting house hacking or other income in that 75k. They could use that as their spending money and invest literally all of that 75k every year. Just seems like something is missing here.

I'm thinking starting this year to coast fire on 160k all in tsp and focus more on building brokerage account which is at 40k right now. I'm 35 right now so it will have time to grow.

It's not bad and we must consider that it's 750k between two people. There's always something missing in the details - how did they get 2 rentals? Who paid for their education? How much do they make now? Lotta times these folks are luckier than others trying to attempt the same thing.
