Superb Video. Just hit the Subscribe button. Loved the videos. Don't normally watch tube vid's end to end so well done the pair of you for keeping me hooked. Loving the look of the Tenere 700 I used to ride the 1200 but found it very cumbersome on the lanes. Didn't help me being a 12 stone wet lettuce but there you go. That first track you did Stalling Busk does include the river, everyone just rides down it. @twowheeledadventuresuk27395 ай бұрын
@@MrTurbocake lots of the route is quite difficult, not particularly suitable for a novice riders. If you can get up the start of the Old Coach Rd which is about 4km east of Keswick then you should be ok with the rest. It’s defo not something you want to do on your own and not something I’d want to do on a big bike if I was a beginner. Days 4 and 5 of the UK ACT are a coast to coast trip which is meant to be a bit easier and designed for bigger bikes, that takes in Salter Fell and Rudland Rigg as we did, they are the two quite long classic lanes on the trip we did.

Great Video again... you got such nice landscapes over there! Did you get to the point of thinking 'why didn't i choose the crf450l?' - I mean i think you did just fine with the 'heavy weight' but lovable T7!
@twowheeledadventuresuk27395 ай бұрын
The CRF would have made that too easy, well more that being on the T7 was a bigger challenge and probably made the road sections more fun. If I’d have done it on my own I’d have definitely taken the 450, not worried about getting stuck then

Cheers mate; really good vid that. I’d have probably taken the 450 based on the stony, hilly bits that you encounter up there. You’d have been less tired on that. Fantastic tracks though and well done. What’s your present audio set-up with the go-pro if you don’t mind me asking.

I've got a RØDE Lavalier GO Professional Lavalier mic into the media mod and it's tucked into the foam of my helmet in the cheek area to help reduce wind noise. I've tried other mics but the Rode one was easily the better one. There was a lot of road work on this trip, obviously we had to get there and get back which was a good 5 hrs each way, and then in between the lanes there is a lot of road, and I don't think that would have been as much fun on the CRF. Also, in some ways the 450 is cheating, it does just fly up, or down, anything, so doing it on the T7 was more of a challenge, and riding home I did have a big grin on my face because we'd done it on the big bikes. Shaun wanted to do it on his DX and not his 690, which meant I had to take the T7 then - kudos to Shaun for having the balls to take his pride and joy on quite a technical route at times
