Western Australia has over 10,000 kms of isolated, unique coastline. Here we set up camp on station only 40kms long, full of marine and wildlife with plenty of places to explore.
We drive North from Perth after our last journey South to stock up on fresh fish for the desert. This road trip has us swimming with sharks, turtles, rays along with racing the V8 cruisers along the dusty tracks looking for new beaches to explore.

Roos like the salt , it provides them with hours of tasty grooming on themselves and others. Cooling off , surfing and snorkling are just a bonus to them .

Shad Donaghue I like a beer and it tastes better from glass but I don’t take stubbies into the bush or beach , we’ve taken our 3 daughters camping regularly since birth and forever picking up broken glass , bottle tops etc, so good to see some of these influencers saying their piece about this sort of behaviour- hopefully over time we can all make a difference and change the culture 👍🏼

Thanks Ray. With the wheels, no huge reason as to why I just wanted to try a different style/ brand. The awning is a James Baroud. Its great but they're not cheap.

I see you camp on a lot of sacred land and privately owned stations. Have you got permission?
@SaltyDavenport
@SaltyDavenport 3 жыл бұрын
Really?? Tell me more about these sacred sites and stations i've camped on, i'm always interested to know if my research is proven wrong.
@Jake_UpNorthFishingAdventures
@Jake_UpNorthFishingAdventures 3 жыл бұрын
I was just wondering how you go about it over there in WA because in FNQ we always gain permission from landholders and traditional owners out of respect and safety. Over here its very dangerous to go exploring on stations without permission believe me.
@SaltyDavenport

@@Jake_UpNorthFishingAdventures most of my locations are on crown, unfenced land. Theres a lot of mining tenements that stretch for hundreds of kms all over the state that have some beautiful land that will soon be dug up on them. Private property I will always respect but when its a mine site thats going to destroy a place...thats for another discussion. It's very difficult to gain access to properties over here without permission, generally all locked gates and fences so I don't bother. In regards to sacred land, i've never camped in a known place of sacred significance, nor do I want to as those places would give me the creeps at night when I'm solo. I've definitely had some times when I'm soo far from anywhere and I pull up and camp only to feel some energy in the air that night that somethings not right, that energy could be from anything though, or even just my mind playing tricks on me (generally don't get much sleep on those nights). There's not much sacred land remaining once you get below Carnarvon, it's all in the Kimberley.

@@SaltyDavenport nicely said man. That's exactly my point of view as well. Keep doing what you're doing, you've got an awesome life and lucky to be in such a beautiful part of the world. Far North Queensland is prime if you're ever thinking of coming over here, its well worth it. Stay deadly mate
