I had no idea there were rakes/baskets for this! I was just told to get in the water, shove your hands into the mud, and pull up dinner or you don't eat lol. I could just feel the difference between rocks and clams, especially when they started to wriggle away. I would have loved to have tools like this!

If you want to try a chowder. You need to locate sea clams. They are about the size of 4 quahog clams together and weight around 4 lbs. each. You use only the tongue of the clam. Being so big you do not need that many to make a chowder. Commercially they use the sea clams for clam strips in the restaurants.

Vik, I know I’ve commented this on like all of your cape cod videos, but do you know what the canyons are? There’s great fishing for yellowfin, bigeye, mahi, marlin, and wahoo offshore in the summer south of Martha’s Vineyard. You should look up some KZbin videos...it’s a sick fishery

there not clams --there quahogs -clams are soft shell with long necks found mostly along the shore when the tide goes out ---they spit as you walk along --why it,s called clam chowder is any ones guess.
