Great trip! Smart move sleeping on the picnic table. I have heard of folks floating off in the night on air mattresses.(so the camping legends go) Stay safe!

Hi Jonathan thanks for the reply! And yep you got that right I was really happy that I thought ahead enough to sleep on top of that picnic table. Best Regards, Jim

Great trip, have you tried it in the keys? There seems to be great spots for stealth kayak/skiff camping but can’t find any videos, we’ll good way to keep it stealth
@jimsflorida18172 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for the comment! No I haven't tried it in the keys although I have a good amount of experience down there getting lobsters. Seems like you can tuck away behind a little islands down there easy enough. Happy adventuring!

So can you just go and spend the night there ? You don’t need to call some where first ? How it works?

I'm not 100% for sure about it, but didn't think there is any way to "reserve"...

Yep it's by the Venice jetties. I'll be doing a different sort of boat camping next time using the C-Dory (just posted a video about that boat). Hope to see some of y'all out there next time!

How did you deal with the no seeums yourself?
@jimsflorida18173 жыл бұрын
I used a ThermaCELL, The no-see-ums were only bad around sunset and then it wasn't as bad about a hour after the sunset
@ac0rn13 жыл бұрын
@@jimsflorida1817 thanks! First place was snake island and second was turner key right. I'm familiar with the area but never camped there. Sailed to Cayo Costa and camped there a couple times. Never have tried a ThermaCELL thanks for the tip and the video!

@@ac0rn1 Hey Arthur You got it Snake Island and Turner Key. Yeah I camped at Cayo Costa years ago. Very cool you did that sailing. Thanks for the comments!

Dumb question, what are no seeums ?
@outsidetheboxperspectives69813 жыл бұрын
@@jerryg957 Not dumb :) no-seeums are basically tiny tiny mosquitoes. Heck they may just BE tiny tiny mosquitoes, I'm not sure. Suffice it to day they're very annoying and can get through all but the smallest netting. And they like evening in Florida.
