I bought the same bumper for my 3rd gen 4runner. You help me alot. The instructions is horrible and my package came in missing few things. KZbin had the older bumper high clearance. This was what I needed. 😊

Did you notice that you got 4 of the small triangle pieces that are used for shackles? Per the instructions and what you did, you only use 2 though (one per upright)

Time to do a locker kit for the dif's next looking good nice to see you back👍

I have the factory rear locker, but a front locker would be nice!
@andrewhackney62862 жыл бұрын
@@CRACKEDHOUSINGFAB Honestly the front locker is last on my list. With the rear locker, 31's, and factory everything, I got all the way out to the 1st water crossing at Fordyce. The CV axles are the main weakness withthe 1st gen Tacoma, and that's only at full droop full lock while in 4lo. I'm on 33's now, in the works for armor and a bumper from coastal off-road in the bear future, and planning a Rubicon trip for next year. A rear locker will push you over just about anything if you pick the correct line.

So I am curious if your bumper is (from Coastal Offroad's site in the body style pulldown menu) : a "standard / no flares" or a " Limited Flares/+2" " option? I think the difference is that +2" wide version site 1" past the fender flares on each side???
@CRACKEDHOUSINGFAB2 жыл бұрын
You are correct, mine is the +2 option. I think either one would look good on the tacoma honestly. It's just whatever your taste is.

Any problems with your electronics after welding while attached to your vehicle? If not, what method did you use to protect your electronics? (Novice welder here, trying to do ample research before attempting project.)

Will this be able to fit on a Tacoma with sas swap been trying to contact costal with no reply……really want to go with this bumper for my Tacoma sas
@CRACKEDHOUSINGFAB2 жыл бұрын
I guess it depends where your front leaf hangers will be mounted to the frame (I assume your going leaf and not 3 or 4 link) The bottom plate of the bumper does go under the frame rail about 8 inches or so back so that might get in your way
@hmoobfire2 жыл бұрын
Yea I’m trying to research or figure if I could custom a bracket straight to the new leaf hangers
