I use a tennis ball cut in half to support the walking pole to stop it sinking in the ground and the other half on top of the pole.This helps to spread the weight and weighs just a few grams.It works great,cheap and simple.

Great idea! Thanks for sharing that and thanks for watching. 👍

You're welcome.I've wildcamped for many years and little things can make a huge difference.That will really help in windy,wet conditions when the pole will be under more stress.Keep up the great work,stay safe..@@benhikescamps

Hey ben I enjoy your honesty regarding wild camping, over the last few months I have realised that many large channels are more than likely faking their experiences and trips just for views, at least you make the effort to admit that your car was around the corner etc. I was lucky enough to gain a permission woodland somewhere in Essex just over a month after getting interested in wild camping and bushcraft, I visited it once but for reasons other than camping, that was December and I unfortunately haven't been back since, I dont own a car so would need to head there on train, its a nice spot but just need time and money before I can head there for a session, anyway, its there waiting for me :) Cheers

Wild camping??? Next to your car, camp fires, and owners permission Really
@benhikescamps5 жыл бұрын
Many people wild camp on land with permission. It’s not all about stealth. Some people drive to wild camp locations, some walk, some get trains. In this location, the landowner has a designated fire pit area for those that wish to use it. Yes it’s not as ‘wild’ as my other experiences as this was a social camp. If the ‘wildness’ of the camp genuinely bothers you, then just imagine it as normal camping when watching the video. That might work!👍
