My first ride on these Zamperla Discoveries was Riddler's Revenge at SFOT. I personally enjoy these flat rides and it's great to see more and more of these.

Honestly, the Zamperla Giga Discoverys feel like a roller coaster. They have high speeds, negative g’s, positive g’s, and lateral g’s along with a decent height. I despise most flat rides, but I absolutely love the Giga discoverys.

Definitely, I'm honestly more excited to get on these them I am on some coasters because they just deliver way more forces consistently. My home park is Fiesta Texas so I have ridden that one easily 50 times now and it never gets old.

Naming a giant discovery “Pandemonium” is extremely fitting cuz people would scream their lungs out or go nuts on it. This is how my home park (SFOG) named it when they got in 2019.

I actually have a bit of a Funny story about the discovery 30 at Paultons Park you mentioned. It was called Cyclonator, and I think the first time I rode it was on a school trip to the park. Of course, as I am a coaster enthusiast, I was eager to go on it, but my stomach doesn’t seem to like that ride, as when I got off it the second time, I actually threw up! Now, whenever I ride the Cyclonator more than once, my stomach seems to hate me, but thankfully it was only the first time I went on it that I threw up. Anyway, thanks for mentioning Paultons Park, as it is my home park!

I rode a Discovery Revolution in Särkänniemi, Finland, and it was fantastic and terrifying. Accelerating sideways feels incredibly forceful, and hanging upside down that high in the air is wild. One of my favourite rides!

These are actually manufactured by Soriani and sold by Zamperla. Everything in the manufacturer manual of Waldameer's Chaos is from Soriani, and Soriani provides all service and parts when needed. While we had an issue where the ride stalled in the inverted position, there are no programming options to tell the ride to stop in the inverted position. There is now programming to detect if the ride stops in the inverted position and give torque to push the pylon over the top.

I had avoided these for the longest time (and most flat rides) due to motion sickness. But I tried the Giant Discovery at Six Flags New England recently and was really impressed. It's more about the airtime and the positives rather than the spinning, and it pulls some really nice forces. It also has a near miss with The Joker, their S&S free spin. I'll definitely try to ride it every visit from now on.

These rides are amazing, they honestly give more Gs than most coasters, once you hit the apex of the ride its almost as powerful as a drop tower. My first was The Joker: Carnival of Chaos at Fiesta Texas and it is easily one of the most popular rides in the park for good reason.

I maintained a Midi Discovery Revolution 16 for two years and it was a pain in the butt to look after. Also plagued with electrical issues which seems very common with anything from Zamperla. My overall view of that company is “quantity over quality”. I’ve since worked on a Chance Revolution 32/KMG Afterburner (32 seat) and whilst it’s an older model, the quality of the ride is vastly superior to what Zamperla offer.

Here's my current wishlist for future FROTW videos (unchanged from last week): Matterhorn / Flying Bobs & Trabant / Hully Gully - these were mentioned in a previous video, and I look forward to seeing them. . Rainbow / 1001 Nacht Paratrooper Orbiter Miami . [old-school and/or unique] 'Cuddle-Up' (basically an 'n'th-degree teacup ride) ... I'll never forget the in-the-dark "Iceberg" at Dorney Park Boomerang ... I remember seeing this at Casino Pier a LONG time ago, when I was too young for such things 'Sidewheeler' (or maybe 'Sidewinder') ... looking a bit like the inner workings of a watch, this one-of-a-kind SFGA installation was something to see

SFGA is my home park. I've ridden Wonder Woman a bunch and it is great, the line builds up quick mainly because no one listens to the operators so hit it up early if you're going. Oh, and you're correct about Great Adventure... It sucks. I have season passes, once El Toro went down I had no reason to go. The first new coaster we got since 2005 (SIXTEEN YEARS!) was the world's first RMC family coaster. Yay!

You have to try Jersey Devil again if you only rode it before the new wheels and the trims being turned off. It's much better now. El Toro is of course back open now.

@@collinparsons3363 can't believe I'm saying this but after the wheel change and mid course break adjustment Jersey Devil feels like a completely different ride. Much faster and more intense so I am super excited to say I was wrong!

I’ve so far ridden only one of the Zamperla Discoveries, Titan at La Ronde, in August of 2019. The ride, which is a Giant variation of the Discovery model, was still fairly new at the time, having opened 2 years prior in 2017. I look forward to riding more pendulum rides, especially the Zamperla Discoveries. I haven’t gotten a chance to ride CraZanity when I visited Six Flags Magic Mountain in 2021, but maybe the next time I visit I’ll give it a shot. I also look forward to riding Harley Quinn Spinsanity at Six Flags America during a coaster trip around Washington DC.

Really enjoying your flat ride videos! But if you think American Dream is the worst park you’ve ever been to then I imagine you haven’t been many places. It’s not tops for sure but Sandy’s Blasting Bronco, Shredder & Pandemonium (not to mention a tame but fun drop tower & a rough but record-breaking Shellraiser) make it worth visiting, especially now that you can pay per ride.

Cyclonator at Paultons Park in the UK is the only one I have been on, I thought I wouldn't like it from watching in the queue line but I actually really enjoyed it! I just wish it was easier to get into the seats for short people like me XD

Kind of thought that this only existed in RCT3. I'm kind of curious as to why some of these do not have counter-weights while others do (along with similar rides like the swinging ships). Surely the lack of a counter-weight increases strain on the ride's support structure and motors.

Actually, the newest Giga Discovery is in Six Flags Mexico and it is named as Crazanity too, it’s height is 53 meters tall and it’s speed is 120 km per hour, please check it, it was opened on 2020

We also have one Gigant Discovery here in denmark, at bonbonland. And a Intamin Gyro Swing in Djurs sommerland ( Fun fact! Djurs sommerland has ALOT! of intamin rides! )

I've only done Cyclonator at Paultons Park and its definitely one of if not the best flat I've done. Lots of people complain about the restraints and I find them absolutely fine, they don't feel clunky or painful or at all. Its one of the only rides that takes me away from looking for airtime and force and I just have fun on it. Best ride at the park for me. Usually has the longest queue out of anything (if the parks busy) but its worth it.

It's a shame that here in Central Europe, there are only very few large pendulum rides like this... I really enjoyed the Huss Giant Frisbee, but I would love to try one of the large Zamperla Versions - they look fantastic!

Central Europe has nor Ethan enough, at least in germany. Most of the large pendulum rides are from kmg with the most popular being the kmg XXL model. In germany you have Konga, the best XXL exclusive (yes that's the actual name), XXL to name a few. Also there is also the largest pendulum ride in the ride, the kmg Inversion 24 called infinity which is also traveling through Germany doing one inversion and reaching a hight of around 60 meters while inverting

I always enjoyed riding & seeing Zamperla @ IAAPA Expo's Inducted into the IAAPA Hall of Fame is an honor as well. They are know world wide & Disney has a lot of their attractions. Who knows, Arrow could have easily made this ride as well. I say this because=se when D&Rio railroad owned Arrow, they were trying to develop Pirate ship . As story goes...another mfg co. built it instead. These are visually stunning + pleasing to ride attractions. Fiesta IS a whole different level of theming & expectation. Love that it's in my home state!

Got on Max Air once at Cedar Point. And that, friends, is how I learned I have a fear of heights. Panic attacks are not more fun 100 ft in the air than the are on the ground. Not sure if that is a Zamperla but it looks just like it.

Not trying to step on your opinion but Shellraiser is the parks best ride and that's without riding sandys blasting bronco, due to it being down for maintenance the day i went. I seen your review video on the park itself, To me it looks like you came to the park with the intent to incredibly down play the whole park. Never seen such a negative review in my life. I know airtime thrills and coaster studios can have some harsh/biased moments at times but that review was definitely over the top. I was there a few months ago and had an incredible time there and they have a great list of rides for enthusiasts and GP alike.

Fun fact I was on the first ever public ride on Chaos at Waldameer, and it was the first ever ride to make me feel sick. It was bad on its opening day, as well as it was always faulting out.

I will say, with the harley quin pendulum: Had the ride not been installed with breaks, someone definitely could have been injured or killed. This was the best case scenario I believe

He's right, Great Adventure sucks. I promise I'm not trying to start a debate I just want Six Flags to give my home park a third of the attention it gives Magic Mountain. We hadn't had a ground up coaster since 2005 in El Toro and we got a family friendly RMC. Look at what Magic Mountain received in that amount of time. It's seriously a joke. We're the 2nd most attended park in the chain and we're a seasonal park. That's crazy! Oh and I can't wait to hear the announcement for a new for 2022 coaster - the repainted Bizarro!

@@theworstisover1323 NJ has pretty strict laws to begin with which limits what great aventure can do, for some reason NJ gave JDC a ridiculous low speed limit after the MCBR, as well robbing us of the 400ft sky-screamer which NJ would’ve required OTSR on a star flyer which is not necessary, the loose article policy is directly related to State laws

@@zack9777 As far as JDC goes I know they changed the wheels and turned the mid course way down (to off) to try and speed it up, I've ridden it after the changes and it's still a disappointment. Our last new ground up coaster was El Toro in 2005.. Since 2005 Magic Mountain, the only park in the chain with higher attendance than Great Adventure, has received Tatsu 2006, Apocalypse 2009, Full Throttle 2013, Twisted Colossus 2015, West Coast Racers 2020, and they're currently building basically a clone of JDC. I don't mind the loose article policies at all, I would just like a fraction of the additions the other highest attended park in the company gets.

It's going to happen. I was originally waiting for the IX indoor amusement park so I could get fresh footage of one. However, that event was canceled so now I am debating if we should cover it now or in the fall after I have another chance to ride and film it.
