Freischütz actually has been refitted by Art Engineering in 2022 with new electronics and even a new launch system, as the old one broke down all the time. Bayern Park invested over a million in the overhaul, even though the layout is so tough. So let's praise them for doing so much for fans like Tanner. Since the renewal, Freischütz has been much more realiable and I think they can actually now do the double launches again without the whole coaster shutting down for a week after that (and costing the park thousands of Euros). It's just awesome to see how well the park develops, it might soon be a Bavarian Tripsdrill, if they continue to do things right.

Glad you liked it down here! Bayern Park is like an hour away from me and I just recently found out how much they grew over the years. Also: If you're ever coming back to bavaria, check the really, really small parks like Churpfalzpark, D'rodelbahn st. englmar, edelwies. Those cost like 20€ a full day, but you can sprint easily through 2 of them in a day and they're so much fun!

These alpine bobsleds are actually quite common in central europe. In german, we use the term "Sommerrodelbahn" for these (which roughly translates to summer tobbogan track). These kind of rides are actually the origin of alpine coasters, as they originally were used for ski resorts to still provide adrenaline when there is no snow left. A quick wikipedia-check told me that the first "modern" Sommerrodelbahn was built in the mid 1970s. Alpine coasters as they are known in the US were only developed in thew 90s to offer a safer, more controlled option for their customers.

I actually live really near this park and it was interesting to see it explored by you :) The palace you've seen in the beautiful boat ride which has a dark ride part in it, is actually a replica of Linderhof castle by the Bavarian king Ludwig II., who is also the guy who built Neuschwanstein castle! The "real" castles are further south next to the Austrian border. Moreover, if I'm not wrong, even all the castles that are pictured in the queue and station of the ride, are paintings of real existing castles and palaces.

Bayern Park is my 2nd Home Park and i have to say its very good, similar to fantasiana (my main home park) it easily is one of the best family owned parks. The Park is growing fast and getting more guests. Luckily they bought a maurer coaster which is so wrong, which is why it got popular. Buying 2 rides at gerstlauer was the best thing they could do :) btw 9:33 is the the spot of the old mountain coaster, which they took out for FirleFranz. Also Highlander was the inspo for their drop tower, they didnt go for the tilt feature, because they wanted to have the lap bars.

God I cant believe you havent done a Wiegand Tobbogan before! I love these things, theyre incredibly common across Europe, even more so than mountain coasters! There are several amusement parks in Europe with hilly terrain that have those. And many that have flat ground can still get the powered electric bobkarts. Like the ones at Schwaben park and Toverland. Skyline park actually used to have an electric bobkart but they removed it a few years ago. Honestly that was the biggest surprise of the vlog. But apart from that, Bayern park looks like another really great small park, and just another good reason why parks with few roller coasters are so much more than they appear to be.

In my opinion, I guess someoone else wrote it already: - Alpine Coaster have the cars fixed on the track - Bobseld-ish cars are just rolling on wheels, inside of the pipe. so on the Bobsled-ish cars it is possible to flip the car or crash, and you can kinda "burn" your skin, when you slide through the pipe after flip Well, becaus of the friction it can peel the first layer of the skin. So IMO there is a major difference between those 2 and thats why they named differently

29:08 It is a palace. But not in a far off land. This is supposed to look like Linderhof palace. One of the residences of King Ludwig II. Neuschwanstein gets all the press and the tourists. Okay so what is defined as a coaster according to a source which I very much trust, use and can agree to: -it needs to ride on a track -it needs to go down and be able to go up as well (gravity) -powered coasters are the exception -> small disco = not a coaster since it’s powered in a half-pipe -> big disco is because it crests over a hill and could go without power down and still make it. -> mountain coaster doesn’t go up, but that’s the nature of the ride (it couldn’t due to the fact there’s manual braking. Without it could). Still considered a coaster. -> Intamin bobsleds use a a trough, so no tracks, but they go up to reach the breakruns. You could consider the trough for a track. Coaster -> Wiegand bobsleds don’t go up, only down which makes it not a coaster. -> some water rides have a (small) camel back after the big drop, which makes them a (water) coaster -> butterflies are all about gravity, even though it’s a half pipe. You could see it as a shuttle coaster. Hope this clears it up haha! :D

So those splash-boat things Taylor and Sarah did in Switzerland are rollercoasters?
@antonvelghe6224Ай бұрын
