Now that is how a WB theme park should look. Aside from Disney, WB has the best and most iconic IPs in the world. Yet, the studio has mismanaged their licensing deals, and caused them to not be competitive within the theme park market. Which is a shame, because the Abu Dhabi park looks incredible. Really excited to see what they with the “Harry Potter” expansion. It would not surprise me if that land ends up being a mini-park.
@yderga8707Ай бұрын
Lol yeah, for some odd reason WB decided to let Six Flags license their characters. I'm sure in 2005 that was a good idea, but now that Six Flags has fallen off they're stuck 😂. Honestly if I were WB I'd try to buy Six Flags and revamp it into a WB/Discovery park that could rival Disney and Universal. I mean just look at how well the harry potter section of Universal does. Its literally the Centerpoint of Universal Studios.

@joeplatt40362 ай бұрын
@@jonny-b4954I love the idea in theory but unfortunately Dune is just too grown up for theme parks. It'd be like trying to do a themed land based on 1984. It's just too dark, too grim.
@wildcraftone2 ай бұрын
@@joeplatt4036 no such thing as "too adult" for theme parks to be honest. Adults are the customers with money, and superfans spend more than any other group combined. They could totally do an Arrakis, but with some things for younger adults to do as well. Universal arguably has very adult things as well. The Mummy ride and queue was never designed for small children for example. There's plenty of other examples. They can balance it out though.
@joeplatt40362 ай бұрын
@@wildcraftoneand yet the reality is that theme parks do not incorporate IPs that are too adult. To be clear what I'm talking about here is basically literature. Now the films might be less dense than the novels but they, in a similar way to films like Interstellar and 2001, are not going to end up in a theme park anytime soon. Despite your claims the primary market for theme parks is families and that's the majority of the people you see walking around the parks. The mummy is family entertainment with a few scary bits, like Harry potter. However all that being said I've been giving it some thought and maybe Dune could work in a theme park. A super immersive land in a similar vein to Galaxy's edge with areas dedicated to the Atredies, the Harkonnan and the freman. Not saying it's going to happen but I can see how it could happen.

Speaking as a native of Cincinnati, the people behind this park really did their homework with the Hall of Justice. The building upon which the HoJ was based on; Cincinnati Union Terminal, is a masterpiece of art deco styling and if you visit it today, standing under that iconic dome looks very similar to how they did the upper interior at this HoJ.

Got to love that unlimited Oil Money (looking at you MBS and Six Flags Qaddiya). But anyhow as for as indoor parks go, someday I'd like to see an indoor wooden roller coaster. Yes, you'd be limited in space and height; but that means you'd have to be creative. Something along the lines of Phoenix (Knoebel's) built by GCI would work indoors.

Excellent Vlog, Been to Orlando 14 times from 1995-2019 so you can say we like theme parks. Been to Dubai 3 times now the last 2 years Love the city so vast but not so the Taxi Drivers they are constantly pestering you. I was so disappointed with motionGate theme park. Most of the Dark rides 3D but when you went on them No glasses being told 3D effect turned off and the screens were blurred, complained but more or less brushed away. the How to train your dragon roller coaster you stopped at a few screens you could hear something playing over the speakers but screens were blank or half projections. Other rides you could tell the animatronics should be moving but all static. Such a lent down of a theme park. Would love to Go the Abu Dhabi Sea world and this WB theme park look amazing F1 I would probably give a miss, I drive but cars don’t interest me. Just need to get my wife on board to go first. I am repeating a comment that I did IMG World review CS video: I think the possibility of a good indoor park in the USA has never really been explored. For example I always think that a smaller and cheaper park for Orlando would be great. Either for the tourist who would visit between the big Disney and Universal parks or for the local who just wants to have fun with his family on a Sunday. A park like Warner in Abu Dhabi seems ideal to me. Not much else is needed really, there is no need for another Epic Universe, but if it is well curated and themed, an indoor park would have a great market and popularity, especially in the summer. Not to mention that it would bring the Warner brand finally (as a whole park and not a sad license to SFs) not only to Orlando but to the USA, which is ironic since the 3 Warner parks are outside the USA. It sounds a little crazy but Waner has the perfect potential to compete with Disney and Universal in the parks industry if they envision it, they have the IP and experience. If that were to happen, wow, Orlando and Central Florida would definitely be complete and would truly be the Theme Park Capital, which it has long been credited with.
@samnelson742810 күн бұрын
Really nailed the art deco style. Also, it's not knocking Six Flags for their statues and justice league ride to not be high bar. They're not mainly a theme park, they're advantaged in rollercoasters which is not something you need a ton of in this kind of park.

If I had the means to go I would. Everything you said is true. Even though you're not into the Looney Tunes (like I am), everything you said about the hidden Easter Eggs at the DC and Gotham areas you can copy and paste at Cartoon Junction. There are many references only classic cartoon fans would notice and have many nods to them. For example, Fast and Furry-ous, the Intamin coaster, is the name of the first Road Runner cartoon, not a parody of the Fast and the Furious movie franchise.

@josephroberts5243 The Saudi Arabian government is directly funding these parks for their own political gain. Companies like cedar point are privatized and are out to make a profit for themselves. The parks being built in Abu Dhabi are funded by the government and are sometimes even built by people who are taken as slaves for construction in the country. Just look at what happened when they built the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. At least the workers that build American parks are paid a decent wage to do so. Your point about human trafficking makes no sense as I highly doubt cedar point is responsible for that lol.
