He forgot to mention that your staff threatened me and abused their power last year during scary wood and when reported to management, nothing was done. It’s a poorly run park who enjoys when it’s staff tells people “it’s private property so we can do whatever we want to you” in the context of physical violence, so I’d think twice about going here

This park is amazing, the water park is soo underrated, and tremors is easily the best night ride I’ve ever had(let it be known it’s one of the few I’ve ever had) the operations are actually quite slow, but it’s still awesome, and stunt pilot is sooo underrated, easily in my top 10, in the back row it’s absolutely insane, definitely one of my favorite parks, and I’ve been to some great parks

I think they are so restrictive with Aftershocks temperature to run is they absolutely don't want it to valley in the cobra roll. It is a weakness for boomerangs. A rare one, but a very existing one. One that would absolutely make national news as they'd undergo the annoying process of evacuating a giant boomerang. So they likely have a very, very large margin of error incorporated into its running restrictions.

Im in Seattle and visit Silverwood 2x a year. Its a beautiful park, but the two issues i have are the park hours and the incredibly slow ops. Opening at 11am is silly, and single trains on all the coasters make the lines long on even slow days.

As you touch on a bit, the worst part about Silverwood is the single train on most of their coasters. Aside from Stunt Pilot, the lines move brutally slow. It keeps me from wanting to go back even though it's the only decent coaster collection in the NW.

This park is the definition of why parks that don't go corporate always seem better taken care of and loved. If you go to six flags park #16 in the country, you don't get that community touch this park has. Hard to describe but it's kind of my "Home park" since I live in a state with no parks.

Omg! I went to silverwood last summer in 2022 and me and my family had a blast! I had never been on a real big roller-coaster before, and my dad is a big coaster fan! He went on Timber Terror with me, and my mom took a video. In the video, the coaster slowly got to the top and then dropped. Everyone was yelling for a second, and then you hear the loudest high-pitched scream. If you didn't guess already, that was me! Overall, I had a great time, and I went on Timber Terror, Corkscrew, Stunt Pilot, and Tremmors. Along with other rides!

I grew up in the PNW. It is a real shame how isolated this place is and how far it is from any other park. Wild Waves is a joke. PNE has Coaster and then it's basically a carnival. Oaks is fine for what it is but it's tiny. And Enchanted Forest is really great if you have the right expectations. But you have to go down to Lagoon which is super far away or the Bay Area if you want an all day park. The PNW really needs more love from the theme park industry. Silverwood is the only true top tier park and it's in the middle of nowhere.

Yes yes I live in PNW as well and I'm gonna to sliverwood this summer it sucks how far a drive away it is, luckily it's gonna be worth it. I remember going to enchanted forest that was so fun I don't remember everything but you know and because of COVID we haven't had the carnival for almost 3 years I hope the carnival and Fair happen this year that would be a great addition to sliverwood.

Main thing I can say is, what a value this place is!!! Just as good, and in many cases better than places that are more than twice the price not only to get in, but for food and drinks as well.

I love Silverwood and can’t wait to ride timber terror now that they’ve started upgrading the track with RMC hybrid track. Also they could use more family style flat rides or even thrill flat rides to take pressure off the rest of the current attractions they have now. Love to see another slide tower open up at boulder beach as well. Also they need to add a second train to both wooden coasters and have an automated breaking system put in on them as well to have two trains running

I'm a HUGE fan of Silverwood, and have been coming off and on for years. Without taking anything away from the coasters, my favorite attractions are the train and the magic show. I totally agree with a previous comment regarding the slow operations. Ride loading times are 2+ times as long as you'd find at a Six Flags, and the secret ingredient at the quick service restaurant is patience. I would love to see more investment in flat rides, and this park is desperately in need of a solid dark ride. But the theming and landscaping is top class (special shout out to the floral design crew) and I've never left disappointed. The Inland NW of the US is a wonderful gem that more folks need to see, and Silverwood is a great reason to see it.

I live near Silverwood, and it gets a lot of love from the locals, as well. Maybe that's why the prices within the park stay reasonable? Silverwood passes are a common gift around here. My dad helped weld some of the coasters, and the hand rails in Boulder Beach. I love that there's a lot to do for people who aren't a fan of big coasters (my hubby). The landscaping, food, games, and shows make up for it and can keep adults entertained, too. My favorite time to go is in the spring when the season first starts because there's less people, and it's not too hot; however, the weather can definitely be touchy, and being able to ride Aftershock is a treat.

The ice cream sizes remind me of local stands in Massachusetts. The rule is that the further you get from the center of Boston, the bigger the ice-cream sizes actually are, until you have to order a "baby size" or "half baby" cone to get an amount of ice cream that won't be overwhelming.

Stunt Pilot is great and I feel like it is the golden standard of a "Thrill Ride" Quick, fun, not too crazy, and the places they set up the cameras make for some great photos. And I feel like Aftershock is low key a world class ride. Walking up it doesn't look like much, but sit in the rear slot and you'll be surprised at how high up you are and the speeds you reach. And good luck ever finding an open seat on that train on a busy day. It's a reprieve for adults with amped up children, so they jump on the second they can to chill out and take a break.

Somehow, despite growing up in Seattle and being 49 yo, I just went to Silverwood for the first time this year on the way to Glacier NP. This park is amazing, rivaling Knott's Berry Farm and Busch Gardens. And I'm not just saying that because my home park is Premier Parks' Wild Waves lol! I can seriously see us getting season passes here in the future. Tremors may be my favorite wooden coaster and Aftershock is great and smoother than expected given its age. Phantasm was one of the best theme park shows I've ever seen. Overall, just a stellar experience!

I've actually been! When I was 17 and coming out of my GP phase, my family went with my dad to a conference in Coeur d' Alene. Me and my mom and my sister found this place by complete accident and ended up spending 3 days there! I didn't know a lot about theme parks or coasters at that point, so I didn't know that I had uncovered a hidden gem, but I had more fun at that park than I have at any park to date. Me and my sister spent almost an entire day running between Timber Terror and Tremors (Stunt Pilot didn't exist yet and it was too cold to run Aftershock) and marathoning them both. It was super cold the entire trip and actually started sleeting one of the days we were there. I'll never forget my back-row sleet ride on Timber Terror. Their other attractions are awesome too, and that huckleberry ice cream is one of the best things I've ever eaten. I just cannot say enough good things about this park. It's insanely far away from where I live, but I oh so desperately want to go back.

I've been to Silverwood 7 times in my life. It's a blast every time. It's always Around July 4th when I go. I last went in 2021 with my brand new Camaro SS I bought then and the first time I went on Stunt Pilot which was brand new that year was the best roller coaster I've ever been on. That straight vertical drop is a Adrenaline rush which I love that feeling. Water park is always a blast. Panic Plunge is probably the 2nd scariest ride right behind aftershock. Corkscrew is a perfect warmup before going on all the other intense rides. You cannot go wrong going to Silverwood. I need to go there around the Halloween event. I'd love to ride Timber Terror Backwards

Just came back from Silverwood with my wife and two kids 10 and 6. Absolutely love this place. Everything said was true about the park but they didn’t capture how friendly everyone was. And I mean everyone! Even the parking lot attendants who take your payment and do the same thing a thousand times a day were friendly and cheerful and felt sincere when they wished you a fun time. Best feature? Free water from any concession stand. It gets hot in the summer and they do an amazing job putting shade giving trees and covering lines with a burlap canopy and lots of misters to keep you cool. But the water is amazing. You just take your water bottle up to any of the food places and don’t have to wait in line and they’ll happily fill you up. They don’t nickel and dime you and it just feels wonderful. So the point is if you haven’t been then don’t go. Go to Disney or Universal Studios in Orlando. Leave this place alone because I don’t want longer lines!

I’m from Kalispell Montana and Silverwood is a 3-4 hour drive. The last time I was there was 2008 and they had just got after shock. I happened to move to Virginia in 2008 and Kings Dominion became my home park until today. When Silverwood opened Timber Terror, it was originally named Grizzly, because northern Idaho and North west Montana actually have Grizzly bears. Kings Dominion sued Silverwood for copyright infringement because they had a woodie called Grizzly. I have been on both, and they are both great, but Timber Terror is the most superior ride.

I've lived in Spokane my entire life, and I adore rollercoasters. I want to hopefully become a mechanical engineer and design them for a career. That said...even me in all my rollercoaster nut self, I've been to Silverwood one time in a super long time frame. I last visited BEFORE Aftershock got installed in 2008. When my dad took me for my tenth birthday in September 2007, admission was 35 bucks. It was affordable. After Aftershock and Boulder Beach was around more than one season, they raised the price so much. It became 60$ when I turned 11, and dad and I couldn't afford to go that time. The difference between 35$ a ticket and 60$ a ticket is, duh, 50$ for two people. That's a lot of money to do spend on a birthday activity for two people. So, I haven't been since then because I've felt like the price is too steep, even after they've now added Stunt Pilot. I don't know...60$ for four legitimate coasters (I don't count Corkscrew because even though it was my first ride ever going upside down, it's just not the same), it's always felt overpriced. Like you're paying for the scenery in the area and not much more. That said, I DO want to return to Silverwood now, even if I think the price is a rip-off. It'll be worth the price of admission ONE TIME to experience my first raptor. I'm just kind of disappointed at how stagnant the park overall has been since Aftershock was added. I mean, we got Stunt Pilot and that's sick, but other than that all they added was a flat ride or two. Nothing of note, and not enough expansion to warrant that ticket price. It was was too high then, and it's still too high now. I mean, we're literally getting teased both by Silverwood and RMC at this point. Timber Terror and Tremors are both getting RMC's 208 RetraK this offseason, which will technically turn them into hybrids... BUT THERE WILL BE NO HYBRID ELEMENTS ADDED TO THEM. Which I just don't get. Why hire RMC, 5 miles down the road, to refurbish a wooden coaster and not even have them "RMC-ify" it? Seems like just a massive disappointment. I'd love Timber Terror and Tremors to get the true RMC treatment. It feels like the cruelest joke in the world for the park located 5 MILES FROM RMC HQ to ONLY get a Raptor and some RetraK installed. I mean...if Funspot Atlanta and Kolmarden can afford the massive RMC hybrids, why can't Silverwood? There's empty space they could buy from the county, across the road from Timber Terror/Aftershock.

As someone who never been I find this viewpoint refreshing. As everyone praises the park, the negative tone on how overpriced it is can help set my expectations right. I know when Thunderbird was added to Holiday World many people feared a price increase for tickets, but fortunately things remained constant for us. I hope that doesn’t change in the future for my home park. ($50 on summer days, $35 in the off season.)

I think the reason the park is stagnant and expensive is due to its complete lack of competition. Also, random side note but you and I are practically the same age, except I was born in February. I went the computer science route though, almost picked ME.

I found Silverwood to be very reasonable, particularly the food prices. The gate price for Wild Waves is also $59.99 and there is no comparison, Silverwood obviously blows it away. Disney is currently hovering around $130 a day for one park only, so for what you get, $60 isn't bad IMHO!

My former home park is a great family park. If you're an enthusiast, grab the creds and enjoy the rest of what the park has to offer. I've spoken to families that love their yearly trip to stay at the huge campground too. They change the park very little though year-by-year, and for locals they can get a bit stale. Stunt Pilot to Silverwood is like Copperhead Strike to Carowinds in comparison. I can't say I miss my former homepark, but I'm just beginning to visit all the parks out east!

Silverwood like really nice theme park and the surrounding scenery looks great. The park could use some LED lights on their roller coasters like Corkscrew and Stunt Pilot. Maybe they could add a Sky Tower or a Double Looping roller coaster or a Grizzly Bear log ride to Silverwood Theme Park later on during the decade. I've never been to Idaho before, so this park is defiantly a place that I would like to visit sometime in the future and the food looks pretty good too. I'm surprised that Idaho only has one amusement park in the northern part of it. I think that Bosie could use a theme park around their area or in one the east towns to get more people to visit the state.

i live 3 hours away from silverwood, i havent been there in probably 8 years. i was very young. i wanted to go on aftershock so my grandma and i waited in the line for about an hour and a half. there was no signage or anything. we got to the end of the line and the attendants held a pole up against me and said i was too short to ride we went to the water park instead

i've been to SILVERWOOD 3 times , on scale of 1 - 4 stars , i give it 2 stars , it's an ok park , you can do the whole park in 1 day ! it's not worth a long drive , so if you live outside of idaho , once you've went there once , it's not worth a long drive UNLESS THEY GET SOME TYPE OF NEW SUPERSTAR ATTRACTION!! like i said ONLY 2 OUT OF 4 STARS

Silverwood is a good park. But like you said I wish they would do some kind of expansion of rides and expand the waterpark a bit. They should add a Drop Slide in the waterpark. They haven't done a park expansion in awhile.

There are parks I know I will most likely never visit, largely due to their remoteness. But I don't think Silverwood is one of them, and that's largely thanks to your coverage of the park. That and I get some of the same vibes as Holiday World from this place, and I love that park.

Silverwood kinda does look like it was built in the middle of nowhere, a bit like Six Flags Magic Mountain and Lagoon Amusement Park.
