Hello Bruce, from the Great Lake Michigan shoreline of Wisconsin, USA. That ink black oil is a sure indication of an over rich mix, glad you've sorted it. Very much enjoying ALL the content of your channel. Your approach to motorcycling, good health and reverence for history are much like mine. I've a decade old 865 Bonneville, and Mini clubman, and recently an RE Hunter. As you have demonstrated, these 350's are quite capable and great fun. Hope you score that flying flea one day ! Best wishes and GOD bless to you and your G.

Thanks for a lovely comment! And thanks for the heads up on the black oil from over rich mixture! My late father said a ‘A day you don’t learn something is a day wasted’… so thanks for the heads up on that! 😁👍👍👍 Jeeps running great now! You have a nice collection of vehicles there too by the sounds of it 😁👍 I enjoy making films and using my hobbies to share what is here in East Lothian, so much history in a stunning landscape 🤣👍 I will get a flying flea one day! 🤞🤞🤞 More Jeep films this weekend from last weekend on the way then be some motorbike and hopefully in a week or so some drone footage of the harvest 😎👍 Cheers Bruce and Glenda

Ahh I miss the good old days. Engines were accessible to us backyard mechanics. Another reason to love the Enfields. 🥃

Would you not put in a helicoil or similar to rethread the stripped water pump bolt hole? And do you need to take a passenger along on wet days to run the windscreen wiper?
@Coastriderscotland Жыл бұрын
Hi Alex a helicoil repair on that bolt is on the list of jobs to do to the Jeep! I find I can use the wipers ok, tge relatively slow speed and upright glass mean they are not too bad at keep the view clear! The Jeep also needs new windscreen glad as really scratched, replacement glass is only £70 so on the growing list of things to do to the Jeep! 😁👍

Hi, noticed you have a nice big drum of Mannol oil in your garage. I use Mannol in my car and I'm about to start using it in my bike. It's very keenly priced and I was just wondering what you reckon to it?
@Coastriderscotland Жыл бұрын
@@Trev350 the oil seems good value, I bought it firstly as was looking for mineral oil for the Jeeps side valve engine and have just reordered a drum for the engine plus a drum of 90 for the axles gearbox/transfer, it’s so much cheaper than the Jeep specialists charge 😁👍

@@Coastriderscotland my car runs really sweet on their fully synthetic 5w30, so I think it's a good choice. Cheers
