These kids are absolutely adorable! I must say you did a fine job at getting them focused and in tune to cob house building!

I love everything about your building methods, and am planning to utilize them for my homestead soon. I am very curious as to the deck's construction. What a wonderful and ingenious way to build a foundation that also serves as a floor! Any chance for quick video or description on their construction? Thanks for all the informative and inspiring videos! Keep them coming! The world needs so much more of this!

Cool, thanks! I actually didn't build the deck, but I know the uprights were a couple feet deep in concrete. I don't know of any good videos, maybe check around on you tube ..

Hi Miguel,how do I make a cob floor?

How does the insulation stuffed single pallet thickness preform in cold climates?
@cobalot9 Жыл бұрын
It performs fine but you would still need a heat source inside the house. It's not as warm as a full strawbale house would be, but it's pretty good

Hi Migz, do you know of any cob workshops or teachers in Australia or New Zealand?

Did you cut birdsmouth to attatch the rafters to the walls, or was there an easier method, that I cant see?
@cobalot9 Жыл бұрын
Actually no, we just put the Cypress poles set on top of the top plate using 6 inch lugs. Then used hurricane ties ..

Oh, ok got it. Thanks! I live an hour from there and want to check it out during one of their events, one of these days.
