Thanks for all the videos!! I had a 2015 Ecoboost and had to trade it in on a larger vehicle for family needs My family needs changes recently and I wanted my Mustang back!! I'm now in a 2016 Mustang Ecoboost and love watching the videos. The one change I made from the '15 to the '16 was to go with a manual transmission. I wanted a GT but didn't want the price tag that came along with it!! I would have never consideder a 4 Cyl Mustang if it wasn't for the reviews I've seen!! Thanks for helping me make a informed decision!!

Been running a Cobb SF Intake on my STi for 5 years now. To me the sound never gets old, I love hearing the turbo. Cobb makes sure the intakes work with the MAF and or MAP signals I have never had a problem even when I run without the Cobb tune.

I really dig the combination of mild mods you've done so far, would be pretty to do a back-to-back comparison against a stock manual Ecoboost Mustang! Also, lovin' the Guard Green paint, add some black wheels and some not-too-dark tints, and you're set!

I just bought the cosworth induction kit with heatshield for my subaru + a new turbo, injectors, cobb 3 port solenoid, uppipe, stage 2 clutch and lightweight flywheel and its going to uk's nbr 1 subaru tuner next wk, Cant wait will be a very different car when it gets remapped 😊😊😊

You should fit a metal air filter heatshield to block the hot temperatures getting sucked into the air filter so that it will perform better more horsepower torque and miles per gallon

I know you said it looks secure, but if I were you, I would make sure to get a tap for the bracket that you couldn't fully seat the bolts. One quick run through will clean up those threads, and you'll have no problem torquing down those bolts for peace of mind.

Curious why you went with this intake. Not a widely popular choice in Ecoboost circles. Its just me but I'd be wary of running any intake that bolts to the block that has that much of a fitment issue. The block moves around under heavy load and would only make matters worse.

Hello, i have a question. So my ecoboost has Mbrp cat back installed, and i am planning to get this cobb intake too. Do you think i need a tune for it? i worry if my car will get overboosted or something.

Sounds good, but I desire that incoming hurricane sound coming from the intake. I do have a quick question though, since you've installed it- how is the temperature of the intake, does it run cooler than stock? You know heat is the biggest issue underneath the hood of these ecoboosts. Wish Ford add some heat extractors on hood of these models as well.

+subaruwrxfa That's weird that's an IAT sensor on the turbo inlet. The true IAT on a turbo engine is on the cold side charge pipe, or the pipe right before the throttle body. Is there one on the charge pipe too? It'd make a heck of a lot more sense since it's post turbo and intercooler.

I would get a new filter from Cobb. The damaged filter will affect your volumetric flow rate and subsequent output. You have a lot of corrosion on the engine block and the bracket bolt locations needs to be tapped. I would not leave the bracket in its current state. Also, I was curious if Cobb provided a new tune with the intake. I would expect it, and it could be contributing to the 6 gear fuel dump.

You should try out magnaflow catback exhaust, just something to give it a cleaner, but more agressive sound. Nothing really loud though. I personally like flowmasters best but they have a more classic car sound to them that im not sure you would be able to pull off with the ecoboost.

That engine bay is very dirty like you said. it's not hard to clean it. my eco has 9k and it's factory clean. I have only done it twice

Just a good engine shine spray and wipe down. Takes about 30min it will look like new if you get into every lil spot including hoses. You can spray it down with water first but please look up the correct way to do it. I think its engine on till hot then turn off and spray off with hose but don't saturate spots like fuse panel spark plugs etc.

Nice review of the intake from Cobb. You should consider getting a turbosmart blowoff valve they are really nice. Do you ever plan on getting a turbocharger upgrade. I just put my order in today for one from MA Performance for my mustang ecoboost.

WarmSoftKitty You have no clue what you are talking about first off. The GT is 7K more than the ecoboost. And with this turbocharger I will have more power and allot more torque then the GT with better gas mileage and handling. Then there is the fact that the ecoboost is 250lbs lighter than the GT. And the turbo is $3500 btw but i actually paid $3100 with veterans day discount.

If you are such a fan of the GT go watch videos on it or better yet go buy one yourself. Your comments are baseless and lack logical supporting facts. I am with USAA one of the best insurance companies out there. The mustang GT happens to be a vehicle that carries one of the highest rates. And your comment stating that its hype is not valid. You obviously don’t have a good grasp on the car industry. The turbo 4’s are going to start popping up left and right from car company’s across the board. Chevy just introduced a turbo 4 in their Camaro lineup in 2016.

That's a bit of a stretch, I think typical gains are about 15-17 hp max on this car/engine.

Id send it back. Cobb stuff is suppose to have the best quality. Like the Macbook Pro of laptops quality. My MAPerformance intake has almost 20k on it and has done me wrong and has much better fitment than that

Terrible kit for COBB. The non fitment of the bracket at the block just screams poor design. Plus the angle the tubing enters the box at is laughably bad. That box isnt doing a thing in reality. Still 50+ degrees over ambient waiting at the drive through window.

If these engines are anything like the 2.3's found in the Mazdaspeed (the engines were made by Ford btw) you should stop boosting it under 3-3.5k rpms you will blow it like so many Mazdaspeed owners did. It puts too much strain on the rods and rotating assembly at low rpms.
