Great install video. However I do have a question. When I did my install I ensured all the sensors were firmly connected. The check engine light was thrown saying the vgt was stuck closed. Major power loss. I double checked the connectors. I disconnected the tgv sensor and reset the ecu and it went back to normal after I reset the ecu. Do I have a bad Cobb harness?

Excellent video. So, I installed the kit but I’m being tuned for e60, I also have TGV deletes and with the base map everything was working okay but now with the first revision when I flashed it I’m getting a P2016 code which states “TGV Position Sensor 1 (RH) Circuit Low” causing a CEL. I spoke about it with the tuner and he told me to disconnect the sensor since I’m getting e60 anyways. I disconnected the sensor and now I’m getting also P2021 which is the same as P2016 but “Sensor 2 (LH)” Is it possible that it’s the actual sensor and module giving issues or is it actually a problem with the tune itself since with the base map there were no CELs. Hopefully someone has answers, the tuner gets back to me literally weekly.

I know it's late, but for people who come across this in the future: No, it is plug and play and will just read the ~10% Ethanol of pump gas. Doesn't need a tune out of the box, just enables you to be tuned for higher ethanol content reliably and with a flex map.
@derekschutte97343 жыл бұрын
How would this work on a stock 2018 wrx with a pro tune ? Or should there be other mods to compliment?
@SquatzMcAllister3 жыл бұрын
You need to have a specific tune for E85. Just installing this won’t damage anything (basically it’s just fuel lines and information the ECU is won’t pay attention to until told to), so it won’t affect your operation. Adding this kit and a flex fuel tune to run e60 will be like a 80-100 whp gain. Dollar for dollar best power mod for the FA20! I am working with phattboi tuning for mine right now :)

I'm running on pure e85. And I'll tell you, after 8k miles of straight e85 and a few 91 tanks in between. My fuel pump is starting to fail due to high ethanol content. I would love to have flex because ethanol provides both power and knock resistance. I would love to run anything around e30-50 because that would allow for a little power boost with alot more knock protection than 91. Plus finding good e85 is hard around here. So sometimes I drive 20 miles for gas. I wish I could just mix and match my gas....
@777aterial6 жыл бұрын
You are not using the stock fuel pump right?
@prodigy2k76 жыл бұрын
Jacob Tran I think a good solid ratio is 2 gallons of 91 with 1 gallon of e85 makes a good mixture for WRX... not too much e85 and easy ratio to remember... But i cant remember who said it or what E?? it gives you... But just a tip to look up
@slow_slow27136 жыл бұрын
Your having issues because you didn't upgrade the fuel pump. E85 you increase the injector size more flow equals stress on fuel pump. Upgrade the stock one it's not that expensive to do and it will serve you reliably and later if you upgrade to bigger fuel injectors when running boost it will be able to deliver the fuel volume at the correct rate
