I am only starting programming and it seems to me that its just constant updates from a system that was never made right and still isnt. Its like trying to show your parents how to use a phone. Main frame seems to be the steady boring job but its always there

@pope1089 Starting out in programming can indeed feel overwhelming, especially with the constant updates and evolving technologies. Let’s break down a few aspects: Constant Updates: Technology evolves rapidly, and software systems are no exception. Updates are essential for security, bug fixes, and new features. While it can be frustrating, these updates often improve performance, enhance functionality, and address issues. Think of it as keeping your tools sharp-you wouldn’t want to use a rusty saw, right? Legacy Systems and Mainframes: Legacy systems (including mainframes) are like the sturdy old workhorses of the tech world. They might seem boring, but they power critical infrastructure-banking, airlines, and more. Working with them can be stable and rewarding, even if it lacks the glamour of trendy technologies. Teaching Others: Explaining tech to non-technical folks (like showing parents how to use a phone) can be challenging. But it’s a valuable skill! Clear communication is essential in any field. Plus, teaching reinforces your own understanding. Remember, every programmer starts somewhere. The journey may feel daunting, but with persistence, you’ll gain confidence and find your niche. And who knows? Maybe one day you’ll be the one explaining the latest tech to someone else! 🚀👩💻
