ABSOLUTELY NO test gear. How do you work on any radio without a scope, freq counter and spectrum analyzer? Anything over 100 percent mod creates harmonics and intermods. OH, sorry, like you have a clue. You can see power on your wattmeter that is miles out of band and think you have improved something.

Wow, just wow, just just wow. That's all I can say here. I was gonna say golden screwdriver mods but then I seen him short the final with a walmart screwdriver set ment for glasses then I just said screwed.... just wow. This is plain and simple what keep the real techs in business.

Oh man! Where do I start: 1. That’s NOT how you set the mod meter. You set it by keying the carrier and tuning it all the way to “SET”!!! Rocket science right??? 2. You NEVER remove D8. Guess your google research didn’t cover that your really doing to your audio circuit when you just it. Your RX is prob GONE!!! 3. Cutting the mod limiter? Yup. Good stuff. 4. Metal screwdriver. I bet that looks terrible on professional equipment scopes. Money thrown out the window on that radio. Distortion doesn't equal more power it might swing more but that's because it's throwing crap out through multiple channels and really just making your radios performance less than if you left it alone. You know when it's been done right vs a hacker showing you some gauges if you can't see it hooked up with a scope in real time performance then you probably just got hooked for your hard earned cash. Learn how it should be done then you will know the hackers when you see them.
