Love how Shawn actually.. Is a really great big brother. He was kinda not listening at first. But that he was big enough to reasess and look at how things were and was the only voice his brother would listen to. Was just a great piece of writing. Same with the Stingray scene. Another great piece of writing.

Shawn being a good brother is cool to see with his character coming to respect Robbie over time. Also imo, the best singular image of this whole series is Daniel, Johnny and Chozen on the mat in fighting pose, with smiles on their faces. It sums up the moment things came full circle in their stories. This first episode was a killer way to start off the final season. The fact this is 100% the last we're gonna get of the Karate Kid saga is great because it's done so well, but damn I'm gonna miss it when it's gone. It has not outlived its welcome. They could still tell some great stories.

They could've so easily gone the "bad influence fresh out of juvie" cliche' route with Shawn, but they didn't. He had assumptions about the Miyagi Do students at first, but once he saw them de-escalating that fight, he re-assessed. That's just great writing and great character development.

I never thought I would see the day that Johnny Lawrence would have the most amazing redemption story. I'm gonna miss this show but so glad I get to see it off and enjoyed the ride!!

Kreese is back, Barnes, Daniel, Johnny, Chozen, Kim, and many others are making a comeback. I have no idea about Silver though. There's still 15 episodes for this final season. All we know is he's in prison. We'll see how things turn out. Oh Stingray is back for a scene. All i will say is these first 5 episodes were amazing, and 5 was very emotional.

I see the aging more than ever for this season. I grew up a massive Karate Kid trilogy fan too. I thought the last seasons of Cobra Kai that Netflix took over weren't as strong as the KZbin seasons, which set them up for an easy homerun.

This 1st episode felt underwhelming and not as well thought out as previous seasons. I would've preferred a little more on how personal relationships between the characters have developed since season 5 before jumping into an anticlimactic showdown between Johnny and Chozen. Hoping for an improvement ..

The new season as a whole felt off, it had some good moments but over all was disappointing and lame. They made some very questionable choices, mainly in episode 5, they regressed certain characters just to recycle story arcs.

wtf happened between the end of season 5 and this new season??....first off it looks like they all aged 15 years smh....and the story is something out of a dumpster.....i have only watched the first 3 episodes of season 6 and its painful to stay interested in a show i loved the first 5 seasons....i guess they rushed this final season like the writers did in GOT as they destroyed season 8.....sad!!
