definitely do a speed training update, it's good to see blokes over 40 actually getting faster instead of just the young lads bombing it

The vastly different results from last year's review speaks to the quality control of Cobra. Fantastic driver but it's conceivable to think they can't be at the same standard as some of the more established companies. Great review, I'm in the market for a driver, these two will be high on my list
@KennieKatGolf4 жыл бұрын
Jon Walsh I’m hoping that’s not the case. I know manufacturers all have tolerances but I remember him being MUCH shorter then his normal distance at the time of his first F9 review. I’d never buy another club without getting it spec checked.
@MrE0044 жыл бұрын
This. All of this, although Cobra customer services have been fantastic with the 2 F7+ heads that have broken for me, but I don’t think that a fairly average (although fast) player should be breaking driver heads, and weights, to bits!! I think the price point people love about Cobra maybe because they haven’t quite got the quality control etc of other brands. But they do make up for it with incredible customer service when there is a problem.

Looking forward to your vlogs on your swing speed training. You have always had a picture perfect swing with little or no wasted movement which is why I found that your club comparison vlogs were relevant because you are as close to a robot as I have seen. The additional speed is just icing on the cake.

Let's get some speed training videos up Mark please. This is the time to be increasing speed/techniques etc plus I would love a review on the speed sticks as tempted to get them but at £200 I'd like to know more beforehand. Also lots of buzz about the garmin g80 because of the launch monitor built in...any chance of a review for that as I've seen others but would like your opinion on it Cheers bruh

You don't need to spend money on speed sticks... i've just got an old 3 iron and brought those weight rings that you slide down the shaft of Ebay and swing those around. start off with holding the head and swing the shaft L/R handed x3 then hold the club properly repeat.. then add weights and repeat... then do step throughs.. repeat.

I bought the Superspeed Golf speed sticks and used them for the last season (was only able to get about 3 months in a row doing their recommended 3x per week workout though) -- I gained about 8MPH or almost 10% swing speed: about 100 av before to 108 +/- after. They worked for me.

So interesting. I have just brought an F9 after doing a fitting, of sorts. Basically an hour in a booth at my local shop with the pro testing a variety of clubs. The cobra was great but I was then fortune enough to be able to buy one off a friend who is no longer playing. Problem is I can't seem to get on with it!!! Yet in the shoo it was great. Thought it was just in my head. Spec exactly the same. Don't know what to do!

Mark, I'd really love to see how the new SZ compares to the old SZ from 15 years ago. They did make a legal COR version of the old Sweet Zone. I had a 440cc version which was fab.

Cobra came out and said there were some issues with batch variations in the f9 head. There were some extremely fast heads in the retail market that "may" have exceeded cor after wearing in. On the flip side there were some duds that were prone to failure. I was surprised they replaced it after one season but I think it sold well beyond expectations and they simply didn't have enough supply left to stretch 2020

As usual. Great review. Speed training definitely having a positive effect. when u say it wasnt the same head as you previously tested (F9), do u mean that there are inconsistencies with the manufacturing process so giving you 2 heads with different results?

Hey Mark, just been doing some hitting bay work with the F9, wondering if you found the same issue I did... the milled face eats balls! We had a standard face driver and the F9 and the balls got marked and fell apart considerably faster with the F9. This is something no one is talking about with these drivers, but if you go through balls 3 to 4 times faster that has to be a factor that buyers need to know about, surely... can you do a video? Get in touch if you go ahead, I think it’s a good video and something people would like to see

I would like to see more what you're doing with speed training. When I did it I lost club face awareness with driver. I rarely miss to the right, right handed, but when I was speed training all my drives went right. Also, did you have any high toe strikes with the F9? How did the 2 compare on high toe?

My opinion is there going to be so similar there won’t be much of difference I do think the f9 will still be the better value because of that difference. My vote is the speedzone will have like .5 mph head speed over the f9 but the overall distance is just a little less due to the spin
@jlash2594 жыл бұрын
Great video. I don’t see a reason to buy the speed zone other than cosmetic differences. But the crown of the speed zone definitely looks better in my opinion. Also, if you don’t post speed training videos, I’ll unsubscribe.
