They were great the first 438 times, but the films are depressingly similar in structure, story, action, plot twists, and CGI saturation. They're not thrilling cinematic adventures, anymore. @@Splizacular the situation shown here does not happens everywhere. In much of such cases cobras rise with their hood as they believe larger animals as threat and try to escape leaving the hunt.

You'd be surprised how many people coexist with snakes without knowing it. Our homes - especially farms - with near unlimited access to food and warm, dark places to hide are ideal for rodents of all kinds. And wouldn't you know it, mice and rats are a favorite among many species of snakes. Granted, it'd likely be pretty rare to see snakes in an urban metropolis, but out in the suburbs and more rural areas? Most definitely.

I'm glad he finally answered what I was thinking; How could all those people be walking around with a snake on the loose a DEADLY snake at that. And it's situations like this (while the cinematography is superb the best I've seen), that I believe that most of these interactions are produced, fabricated etc. Long Live sir David Attenborough.

It's obviously filmed with permission, you can't just film at random locations otherwise. But there's plenty of videos showing camera crews waiting weeks for the perfect shot. It's not staged like reality TV. In most cases they just keep filming until the people stop caring and don't react to the cameras.

I don't think it's fabricated like kieragard's answer, it takes sometimes weeks for the cameraman to get the best shot. It's a world class programmes that Sir David Attenborough presents.

No, they may seem too fantastic to be real interactions but Sir David would not be a part of Planet Earth series if anything was faked. There are some behind the scenes footage aired and it showcases how to get this 3 minutes of film there might be 300 minutes rejected and days or weeks waiting patiently for the opportunity to present itself.

Incredible, well-informed short documentary. In many countries, that sighted cobra would most certainly be killed on sight and either disposed off or eaten for its meat. A few countries would call in their expert snake catchers and release the cobra back to a deeper jungle area in their country.

@@FunTimeGhz yes I know the stats. My point stands. They get bitten and often die, correct. That doesn’t mean they are ignorant. On the contrary, they are more aware of the snake’s habits than any internet warrior could be. They live with them. But they are poor rural people. They don’t have double glazed windows and AI powered anti-snake security cameras

As an Indian Hindu I verify that😊❤ Cobras are the animals which the demigod Shiva embraces around his neck. But I hope those villagers actually have certain techniques of not letting the cobra feel insecure among them (or else obviously something will happen which shouldn't) They may also have certain natural antedotes to the snake poison🪔

Might means power. Almighty means powerfull God. So Vishnu and Shiva both are almighty. Maa Durga as well.
