thank you for this video(demonstration) very useful information! just got a cobra and talons. l was told to fray to visco where I connect the talon and nothing will fail. don't know if true or not but I got a bunch of help from watching this. thanks Joel R!!!

If I don't have one those cringe firework control boxes can I just attach the wires to a 9v battery?

can you extend the wires? if i buy a 1m talon wire but i have two gerbs apart from each other and want to fire at samr time, can i extend the wires?

Can you use these with any system. For example one that doesn’t have the talon mode, and just used to light e-matches?

To be honest. I will never buy talons again for one simple reason. I have had at least 3 fails allnon the same cake. Talons tested good but would not heat enough to burn the fuse on that cake. Worked great on every other cake I had...

Just break up the glue in the Visco like you would using E-Match. Sounds like the fuse on that cake has too much glue in it. I have no problem lighting 3 mm Visco with Talons.

I had similar experiences with Talons on 1.4 Excal mortars. Very high failure to ignite rate. Maybe the thick glue on the Visco as mentioned. I'm daring to try it one more time this year with this in mind.

Open the visco up a little bit and place talon at that location, secure with tape.

I use a SECOND piece of tape for strain relief.
