I never heard of the Ozark Mountain Daredevils until now and everything I've clicked on has been right up my alley. Anything classic rock, southern rock, outlaw country, and bluegrass front hat era is my kind of music.

Back in the 70’s I definitely remember this music! I’m 49 now, but when I was a kid, my first stepfather had this vinyl...this and Chicken Train are the ones I remember!!! I hadn’t heard this stuff in AGES...but suddenly tonight I remembered the riffs from Chicken Train, so I ran to KZbin...and OH HOW GOOD IT FELT to hear this stuff again! Seeing now that they also did this song - man, I feel like I am back together again!!! GREAT memories!

I'm currently deployed and in that time I was doing some genealogy and maybe related to one of the band members. Also I didn't realize it until reading the comments playing GTA V as well. I may have heard this song and not even realized it! This band is good whether I'm related to Michael "Supe" Granda(?) or they have one song in a videogame. I would suggest you guys checkout more of their music! Their entire show on Old Grey Whistle Test 1976is incredible, I'm just learning about them myself. The reason they didn't blow up was they chose to not move to Hollywood and leave their home and families behind. Very respectable in a day in age where people would sell their souls to make it big!

One of my favorite pick me up songs. I saw the daredevils in 1980 at the Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa Okla. Had a front row TABLE! We used the beer tray to do some seed sifting! They had it all going on that night, first time to see someone play the washboard. They don't make music like this anymore, a true folk, rock icon.

As a result of living next door to these guys on Monroe Street in Springfield in 1970, a musician myself, I ended up with a 1.2 GPA at then called Southwest Missouri State. I remember playing my recorder with a couple band members. I also remember playing pinball with lead singer we called Superman. I turned out okay eventually, but would not trade those wild times memories for anything wholesome. They rivaled Jefferson Airplane and The Grateful Dead, I also had the privilege to hear live.

I see that several of you have referred to OMD as a Southern rock band, Well, not really........think Jackie Blue here. They are, much more specifically, an Ozark Mountain rock-fusion band. This is a music found only in a few counties of southwest Missouri, northwest Arkansas and northeast Oklahoma. Started in the 70's, continues today. The Daredevils did a reunion last year in their hometown of Springfield, Missouri and were as good as ever. Everyone was there except Dr. Brayfield. Awesome!!
