My two brothers are Viet Nam vets. Radioman and Amtrak team. Both asked to reup but didn’t. After the horrors there and things they couldn’t forget. I’m proud of both of my marine brothers. One died two years. Both came home and made decent lives for themselves and families. I play Sound The Bugle Now for my dead brother. Never forget him. And the Freebird is for both of them. Both had medical issues from that foreign land. But they were both US Marines and remained true to the Red, White and Blue. I’m 83 and am wondering about things we live with today. But always remember my brothers and Semper fi. PS. My daughter joined the Air Force and my son became a Marine. Blessings on all us loyal to America. We are, regardless!!

Worked for a small business over 8 years, didn’t find out the owner was an Army Captain serving in Vietnam until reading it in his obituary. He never ever even once mentioned even serving in the military. Just blew my mind.

Your videos are just so good. Every one of them brings tears. My husband was a gunner on Puff from 1965 to 67, and still has horrible nightmares. I havent shown these to him in fear of making them worse. Thank you for making me see what he remembers.

Those hueys making non stop hot landings in and out of the jungles is crazy. Come in and hover, then out the troops go. Alot of those good men didn't make it back... All wars are bad but I couldn't imagine that hell scape jungle. That war seems like it was the worst imo.

I grew up during this time... Korea and Nam. News reels were explicit then so one saw devastation in the raw on a daily basis. At that time, my heart went out to the boys who didn't come home. In the ensuing years, that feeling was eclipsed by my compassion to those who did.
