I knew our childhood in the 80's was different. Just like kids that heard a young Elvis or the generation that saw the 1st Model of Fords. WE lived through the best music AND videos!!! Being in a band with a keyboard/synthesizer player at 17 in 1983 in Nashville was great. We had a set list complete with Duran Duran, Loverboy, INXS, Aldo Nova and few RUSH songs thrown in for the Tom Sawyers of the world. Imagine.... Great music, Malls and MTV... and no social media.

@@BerlinFan82 Yes... in this latter couple of years i really became aware that many great 80's Artists and songs (especially from Europe) are still relatively unknown to a lot of people in the US because it didn't chart there. We in Europe where fortunate enough to get the best from both worlds coming through our radios and TV's. I used to get completely shocked when some people called "one hit wonders" to bands or artists that had dozens of hits on the charts over here. Maybe A-ha was a prime example, they had over 10 major hits on the charts here in Europe from 85 to 88, and all that most people in the US know is "Take On Me"...
