LOL good times? You have not to use fb, twitter, insta, I don't use those. Now are better times than were before. No communism, less poverty, open borders, cheap airline tickets, very cheap online communication. Cassette tapes were crap, no hifi, long access time to particulary fragment of album. Loses quality in time. When you love past, you are dead.

Yep at 2.29 you can hear that distinctive Eurythmics note also heard in Feargal Sharkey's A Good Heart
@ivanl.82014 ай бұрын
@@emmetdonnelly2072 I can definitely see why someone would think that about "A Good Heart", but it's actually a song written by Maria McKee. She's talked about that quite a bit, being ironic that one of her biggest hits was a song she wrote for someone else. She finally recorded her own version on her album "Late December" in 2007. Basically, the song was supposed to be on the first Lone Justice record, but Jimmy Iovine, who was also working with Maria and her band just didn't see that song as an album cut. But, Dave Stewart, who was also there and living in Iovine's guest house at the time heard the song and said "this is #1". And then, basically, he said, "if you don't want the song, then I am taking it!", so he took it to the UK. But it's still Maria's song, although I am guessing that Dave probably produced and arranged Sharkey's version, hence the Eurhythmics similarities. There's a great Maria Mckee interview from about 6 months ago on YT that talks about this in great detail.

Enza Moscaritolo I was only 9, and wish I had appreciated the 80s as much as I do now. I used to tune into TOTP every Thursday at 7.30 after tomorrow's World

Discovers Alison moyet 3 years ago and I cannot get enough , my fav song is this one . I’m 20 years old but for some reason it gives me nostalgia to a time I felt like I lived before but haven’t lol

I’m a bit older than you, 38 to be exact. I was born in the 80’s but was very young during the decade. Just discovered this on my recommendations and I have a crush on this girl lol. At least her back then. I wonder if my sisters who are older than me bumped this on their stereo when it was new haha.

It's fascinating to hear, as someone (me) who lived as a child in the 80's and grew up on this. I always wonder how the current generation perceive this kind of music. I always think, it's hard to not like and there are probably thousands more like you that wish we had more of it today.

@@Dead-Ball-Situation I deffo wish we had it more today , however most music these days are remakes of songs from 90’s 80’s and older so why not listen to the original too I’m a big sucker for 80’s and 90’s love the music the fashion I feel stuck in that time even though I wasn’t born then I was born in the 2000’s 🥰

I'm a mid 60's boy and was just about an adult in 1980 - and from then till 2000 life was fabulous, fun, and so intellectually colourful. Everyone was interesting, we were never boring, most of the time having fun.
