Isn't it amazing that parrots and cockatoos especially react to music like that? It's like they are the only animals besides us who have a sense for music.

They have a natural sense of rhythm, but that is only part of a sense for music. Nearly all songbirds have absolute pitch (the innate ability to recognize a sound on the basis of pitch; some people have this, others don't, and it's innate in people, too). Listen to a mynah or starling mimicking opera arias or other Human singing; they usually sing with remarkable pitch fidelity. Parrots don't; they tend to sing in a relative monotone because they don't perceive pitch as well as oscine birds do.
