They often do. There's a sulphur crested version where it has a few yellow feathers up there that are slightly higher. You see both versions in the same areas, sometimes even the sane flocks. They're native where I am.

Not a parrot. It's a cockatoo which is far bigger. There's a so called rare black parrot with a red bit on it's head that is about this size. I used to see a lot of them as a kid. But many of the parrot related things in Australia are smaller much like the rosellas around my place (eastern rosella and crimson rosella).
