Cockpit Landing 767 Freighter. Wind Gusts +40kts with windshear reports. KONT

Cockpit View from 767 freighter coming from Hawaii.. Landing Ontario CA runway 8L with gusty winds and reports of wind shear. UPS MD-11 landing prior to us performed a go around.

Additionally, it's very easy to maintain centerline at this point of the game. He cannot and relied on 'hope' to make a successful crosswind landing. Maybe if he took the A/P off and hand flew it earlier, he would've had a better feel for the conditions. You can tell by how sharply and aggressively this captain controls the thrust levers with the A/P on and the A/T engaged that he isn't comfortable maintaining an already high approach speed when he allows the aircraft to fly itself down to almost 100AGL. I like how he shows us @1:38 how compressor stalls are born-especially when he isn't flying the aircraft.
