For those of us who love business jets, I wouldn't say the business jet market is even close to saturated. Certainly not when compared to GA, airliners, and fighter jets.

Proud to say this is a Brazilian airplane, proud of my country's aeronautical industry. I've bought this jet and it has some little issues, but it's quite good. Quite fast, maneauverable, modern and last, but not least, incredibly beautiful. So much fun to fly.

Regarding the single fatal accident this safe jet had, "The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) report said "had the ice protection been activated the pilot would have received an aural warning of impending stall about 20 seconds earlier." Not really the 100's fault.

They did have a few run off the end of the runway when they first came out . Seems there was a problem with the brakes of some kind , however that has been sorted out long ago . They are not bad aircraft ,cheap for a business jet and also very simple to use .

@@zeberdee1972more importantly they are certified for single pilot commercial use which is one of the niches of the Phenom and why they are so popular.

Very similar to the Mustang - G1000, not an autothrottle equipped aircraft but seemingly does have CSC to roughly maintain cruise speed. Out of the two this one probably gets my vote as ergonomically I find the Mustang a pain to operate the flightplan buttons etc because they're so far away from the middle screen. Plus Cockspur seem to have got the centre console keyboard working on the Phenom which, last time I looked, was still InOp on the Mustang.

In this category and size I definitely prefer the HondaJet or even the Vision Jet, but I do think this is a nice addition. A bit too much self-advertising on the liveries, though.

I watched this video as it was the first out for the PH100. Good views of the cockpit, but surprisingly, no close view of the overhead lights panel. Never saw beacons on for engine start, strobes & landing lights for entering the runway. Only saw the lights from external view. Thanks for putting up the video so quickly after release of this aircraft.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome! And on tonight's exciting show! Jane Clarkson flies another light business jet! Jane Clarkson tests yet another light business jet! And another light business jet is flown by Jane. ..... It really is getting a bit much, isn't it? And yet, with all those VLJ's around, no one's really done a standout, study-level superplane, like the commanche for GA or the Fenix A320 for airliners. I don't wanna belittle all the work that goes into these, but it does kinda feel like we now have the same moderate-complexity aircraft 4-5 times, just with different looks. I'm kinda hoping that FSW uses the early access on their Learjet to turn it into a standout machine. Really go all-out with the systems depth. Maybe even failures? I'd love to see that. Oh, also, is it just a tick of mine, or does anyone else despise the Visionjet purely because you have to go into a menu to take the daft, product-placement-style Bose headphones off the dash? It's a small thing, but it's always driven me mad. :p

Hey, good video, but kind of confused why you say we are in a saturated small BJ market. We have something like 5 or 6? The two Asobo citations, the Lear just a couple days ago, the mustang, the cirrus, the hondajet... and that's about all, I'm pretty sure. There are even fewer small BJs than turboprops, and that's saying something! Meanwhile we are definitely gobsmackingly overloarded with almost 100 military aircraft, a couple of which actually fire bullets or drop bombs, which seems kind of empty in a civilian sim. A dozen of them are offered by 2 or 3 different devs! If there's one category that is underrepresented, I would definitely say it's the BJ class. Just after the turboprops, which are nearly at the bottom, representation wise. It's been kind of a peeve, because I woudl think that if someone wants to fly military aircraft, there are more appropriate and just as detailed models in perfectly good combat sims. Sorry, this kind of hit a button - thank you as always for the great vids.

I'd rather us be saturated with different kinds of small business jets than the current airbus a32X series lol. Gonna eventually have 4 320s haha

"We have something like 5 or 6?" Exactly. We're oversaturated with them. And you act like all military aircraft are a single genre. If that's the case than all civilian aircraft are a genre, and we are CERTAINLY oversaturated with them.

Hopefully in the next 12 months we'll get the Piaggio P.180 Avanti II and also rumored the Citation X, both by FlightFX. As to why we don't get more business jets, I suspect because (particularly with the newer more modern aircraft) the amount of work that needs to go into the systems puts some developers off and others would rather put those resources into airliners where they think there's a bigger market.

We have about five or so different very light jets/bizjets currently... Honda, Cirrus, Mustang, this, Lear 35 and more coming.

Same. I’ve been using the Boeing BBJ or the freeware Global 6000. Id like the Hawker 900XP or Gulfstream 550 to be released

The Longitude is a perfectly capable and VERY “proper” SUPER Mid-Size biz jet with the new WT G5000 suite. If you also want Globals, Falcons, GSs, etc. that’s fine too, but no need to “wait” for a “proper mid-size”, it exists in the sim.

Also, I OFTEN fly the Boeing BBJ or BBJ2, or the Airbus ACJ equivalent. There are many private liveries, no reason to set your sights lower at a Global or Falcon when you can fly with the BILLIONAIRES in the sim, rather than just the pop stars. You could even fly a 747 or 787 BBJ with the latest upgrades. Doesn’t get much “heavier” that that, while you await something “smaller”.

This phantom looks great, love your reviews, but I think I'll stick with my Piper Meridian, in the FSR 500. More my speed. :D

Cool video as always , yes those Phenom 100's are really small . The cockpit specially is very cramped , I think you was looking for the oxygen lever , be down on your left a lever you pull up and down. It does look good and to be fair they are that simple . I understand they don't like any runway with more than 2mm of standing water on them as wheel brakes is all they have , I think it turns into a water ski at that point lol . Thank you for the review , I think I may purchase this one

It depends on the plane, not all planes have a "walkable" inside camera. But, this one has and you just need to press control+number 1 on the keyboard and use the direcional keys to roam around the cabin. Hope I have helped.

I wonder if you can GPU start it without the GPU automatically disconnecting when the engine starts to move. I've wanted to do it in the hondajet but it dissapears before a full start

The self-promotion in the liveries and avionics are a bit off-putting to me. I have the Honda and love it. *If* I decide to get this one, I'll be opening up the livery files get rid of the Cockspur branding, and possibly in the avionics too.

@@carownervirus4438 I know its not the same as the phenom. But they were asking for a bizjet to fly US coast to coast. And we have one, the Longitude has a range of 3500nm.

The Longitude is a SUPER midsize biz jet (It’s an update of the very large Citation X), more than comparable to the Phenom 300 that the OP mentions. And it’s more than proper with a great WT G5000 suite. In fact it’s a slightly HIGHER class than the phenom which is still a light jet like the CJ4.

Not my favourite biz jet tbh but a great review. I kinda like the stock Citation so would probably go for the Mustang. Enjoying very much the Embraer Bandeirante that I picked up in the marketplace Xmas sale!

Mustang is a big FPS killer , Badineirante looks good , but doesn’t respond well to AP ( NAV )

As always, it was a pleasure and fun to watch your review, thanks a lot dear AvAngel. Love your comments about the Passengers, especially the "Jackass" taking all the space. Well, the Phenom is a little Beauty and surely an enrichment for the VLJ section. However, the sound progress on startup is a bit sparse, just 2 seconds spooling up and ... whoop the engines are running but with a bit "tinny" sound. With full throttle it is 100% the sound of Cockspurs C510 Mustang, even the little sound loop can be recognized. Okay, no blaming, it is okay to use this sound suite also for the phenom, especially as they both have the same engine, the PW617. But why this weird startup- and idle sound ?

I sometimes experience similar in-game NAV failures. Flying GPS NAV on a Garmin 750 and then it takes me 180 degrees in the wrong direction.

Same here using the PMS GTN 750. Seemingly some aircraft are much better than others following GPS navigation so i'm open minded whether it's the 750 or the way the autopilots have been programmed to follow the instructions they receive. I was hoping that we'd see an AAU3 that would bring improvements to the stock 750 and the other 'lesser' avionics suites, to improve this issue.

The only time i have any major failures in the PMS GTN 750 is when a full sim update demands an update of the GTN, or a new aircraft has a conflict which needs to be fixed. If you know and practice with aircraft that use it well, failures are extremely scarce.

For me rate this airplane is 6 of 10 no sound the sound is similar to the Mustang and the sound is no good the sound in the sim has to be good even if it is not close to reality but it has to have a good sound

I totally agree RE sound. I think that we've all become accustomed to expecting lackluster sound that when a plane comes along with a thorough and well done sound package it's a delight. Looks sweet but yet another glass cockpit jet.... Boring. I like the FSW Lear 35A, it's one that actually can require attention. A shame that it too lacks in sound dept, but I'm really hopeful as it is prerelease and there is a large following on it already. Thanks for your review AvAngel you're a love! Now, if we can only get Auric Goldfinger's Jetstar, with great sounds!

Bombardier Challenger 600 just crashed, it looked almost like an Ebraer jet. Still seems like they could have larger wings for gliding in , delta wing style.🪁.
