The only REAL Quarantine cocktail is a full glass of blue curacao because that is all you're left with...
@hermannmeier94054 жыл бұрын
If you have orange juice you still can make the good ol' 'green meadow'. Just pour some of the blue stuff over a long glass of orange juice. If you feel fancy add some champagne. If you still have vodka, skewdriver with blue curacoa.

Gin and Tonic was invented by the soldiers in India. They had to drink Tonic as a measure against malaria. However, it was so bitter and tasting horrible so they 'spiced' the tonic up with some Gin ... and the G&T was invented
@sundarpichai9404 жыл бұрын
I've heard that explanation a million times and it's funny to me because I enjoy the bitterness of the quinine in tonic water. It also makes me really wonder what the palates back then were like because it seems really pansy of them to feel the need to hide the flavor of quinine, but the same time, rather than killing bad flavors with sugar or salt like we do today, they always seemed to choose booze.
@okoustrup4 жыл бұрын
@@sundarpichai940 quinine is extreme bitter, when you take it raw. Actually it was used to provoke voimitting up to 1950 (just about). Maybe the concentration was higher in the tonic around the Elizabethan era? or the soldiers just used it as an excuse to get gin.
