i could be wrong (always say this before adding your two cents in regards to someone else's game), but when Botez played .f4 early on, i was thinking .e5 instead (kicking that N to d5) and after .Ne4 (the kicking pawn had just vacated e4), black would have to trade their h7 bishop or experience a strong N landing on d6 with check; the other one ready for the recapture. in other words, a white knight would end up just sitting there on d6 like the entire game. Cheers.
