I am so happy to see a new melt & pour video from you! I tell my viewers, "I'm no Dean Wilson" and this is why. Fantastic work once again! I admire your skill tremendously!

Those are kind of cool what I like most about doing the soap is how they all come out different when you cut them.

I was going to mute that part out but I wanted to show that it needed to be poured slowly otherwise it would sink to the bottom.

Dean, you inspire me to some day be as good as you. I enjoy your videos immensely. Could you please tell me why sometimes my soaps sweat?

Thanks Todd, practice makes perfect. Almost all M&P base sweats. There is a few that are LOW sweat but my experience using them has been limited.

Hello Dean , I really appreciate your videos. Whenever I work with clear base melt & pour I have trouble with it jelling up way too fast. I always melt in the microwave never on the stove, not sure if that matters. Do you have any tips on working with clear base & getting it to not clump up so easy? Thanks!
@DeanWilson3 жыл бұрын
You can boil hot water then put your pouring pot in the hot water to melt the base (don't use plastic containers). This will make sure the heat is evenly spread across the entire container. If your container is directly on the stove then it's heating up specific parts more than others.

I see you are using metal pots. I have seen others use glass measuring cups. I have been doing more Melt and Pour soap lately. I have been using plastic containers but it seems it takes the soap longer to cool. Is there a reason you use metal verses glass?
@DeanWilson5 жыл бұрын
I use the aluminium pour pots because they hold the heat. Yes. It takes a little longer for the soap to cool compared to glass or plastic. Giving me a few more seconds work with swirls.

@@DeanWilson thank you so much for your quick response. I have made what I feel have been simple melt and pour. I would like to expand my knowledge. Thank you for sharing yours.

Hi Dean Do you have cold press videos for beginners

I made a how to make lye video. But to be honest the best beginner videos for cold process are from Soap Queen TV. She got it down pat and with all the information you need. kzbin.infosearch?query=cold+process

Thank you for sharing your talent! I was wondering how long you waited before you poured the pastel blue? Or what temp the lower layer was? Sorry if I missed where you said 😊 thanks!
@DeanWilson5 жыл бұрын
Because the base was setting up already and in a "Jelly" stage, I didn't need to wait. Just poured the pastel blue right on in.

Hi I have a question, I made a cosmetic brush soap out of goats milk melt and pour using tea tree and lavender oil...I however used it on a beauty sponge and my sponge poofed up? Any idea why that happens? I’m looking to get into selling but this is a concern of mine. Thank for the videos 👌🏻
@DeanWilson5 жыл бұрын
I am sorry, I didn't even know what a beauty sponge was until 1 minute ago. I have no idea. But if it absorbs water then it will from the soap suds.
