Elizabeth was really courageous. She wasn't afraid to experiment with her voice onstage. She wasn't concerned if people were into what she was doing or not.

Which is even more amazing considering she had terrible stage fright at times.

THIS IS MY YOUTH❤❤❤❤❤❤❤It was here in this time that I heard of Cocteau Twins for the first time and I think it was in the John Peel radio show; Once a week in the evening here in Holland. This music is so outstanding👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 17 years old then and I still get goosebumps now listening. They hit you right in the heart and soul. BEAUTIFUL👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 Not every day but still listening to them😍🥰😍🥰 THANK YOU SCOTTEE🌷🍀🌷

That quick low tone vibrato she was doing at the end of some of the verses was tripping me out. What a wild and fresh concept for even today 40 years later!

For me, 40 years ago, they were the local band, playing in Falkirk, I saw them one time very early 1982 and after that my friends and I avoided them like the plague. We were all 100% sure, that the Cocteau twins would never make it in the music biz. We got that wrong 😆

How the hell did Robin figure out what gear to use, and how to produce THIS sound? In 1984. H3000 I guess.
@capgage14 жыл бұрын
Do "you" know how hard it is to get an H3000 into your guitar rig and work correctly? People who know how to do this are "above". And you need three amps to do it right.
@ShawnBarnesbass3 жыл бұрын
It's actually the Ibanez HD1000 Harmonics Delay. It can clearly be seen on top of his amp at 1:20.

Yes and I've done it. I use silverface bassmans as slaves and either Vox or Marshall for the main. I've had it going for 20 years plus and it's still not right. Ended using a direct box though. Now I've been thinking of incorporating an Ox.
