Love that electrical-storm guitar sound Guthrie got back then.

@@meowzer999 really reminds me of the swarmatron Nine Inch Nails uses in a lot of their music/scores. So good.

To clear up something mentioned in the comments since someone bothered to scream out in ALL CAPS that the title is incorrect.. This and 2 other tracks are listed on the BBC Sessions disk 2 exactly word-for-word as "Saturday Night Live" Dec 3rd 1983. This obviously isn't the USA's SNL (Big Country played that episode- bleh!). There was a BBC Radio 1 show called "Saturday Live" which aired at 4pm. The schedule (link below) is missing listings for that week. Show hosted by Richard Skinner (Old Grey Whistle Test and Live Aid 1985) and Andy Batten-Foster (also Live Aid but soon after a producer of garbage TV). Hope this helps instead of those complaining and venting below.

So many of my heart breaks were enthralled with their music this one being number 1 when the man I fell in love with had went away over a weekend without a word , without me, and came back married to another woman on Monday morning. I left work without a word, drove home in silence, and upon reaching home, I yelled ,screamed, cried hysterically the whole damn day listening to this particular song. The jokes on him, though. While he turned out to be an alcoholic nobody, I married a wonderful man who gave me the life of a princess turned queen with a top notch life style I never thought I’d live. So…”HA HA John! This one’s for you!”

Before Liz found her voice, she sings a lot like Siouxsie. She developed her own individual style, but I think there's still a little bit of banshee in there.

The incorrect title had me searching for a SNL appearance. It's from BBC Saturday Live Studios not Saturday Night Live in NYC. Saturday Live not Saturday Night Live. Please correct it so others don't waste their time searching for a SNL episode like I did.

I was about to say--I checked the SNL transcripts for 1983 and the musical guest on December 3 1983 was Big Country and the Smothers Brothers, not Cocteau Twins!!!!
