Oh no, not this mission, this one is one of the most shocking things I have ever seen when shepherd kills ghost and roach at the end it got me off guard because I couldn't understand why did he do that until I saw a video explaining it and I was so shocked

Still to this day, I'm unsure why Shepard has came to decision to betray these guys. Did he do that to take all the glory for himself? But this Task Force is under his command, anyway.

He needed a scapegoat, and what better way than to victimize a multinational covert ops force that may have its screws loose by still following one man named Price.

You are correct it was revealed that shepherd was behind everything and he was the one that started the war the device that they were trying to protect it actually have evidence of shepherd behind everything which is why he killed roach and ghost because if he let them live those 2 will find out the truth and turn against him

Guy's cleverly insane, though he's got competition with the successful, if player determined, Raul Menendez in mind.) Notice how some of the enemy reinforcements are VDV personnel. Always with the grandiose entrance, Shadow Company. 17:51: Say what I will about Call of Duty (really, there are so many reasons why I think Doom, Quake, Wolfenstein, Blood, Duke Nukem 3d in its Atomic/Megaton Edition, the classic Shadow Warrior, Half-Life, Halo up to Reach, F.E.A.R.+Extraction Point, BioShock, and countless other titles are more timeless), this very exchange is still one of video gaming's peak twists. Wish we got bonus levels showing the Shadow Company perspective though, plus similar tales featuring other beleaguered TF141 members across the world.

to this day..I don't understand WHY shepard did this. its a great scene, shock value is solid, an iconic moment we all remeber but like...why? They probably explain and I wasn't paying attention but like..what? "I didn't tell him to launch that nuke, he's an SAS agent, i'm an american general" I dont' think deniability is na issue here?

@@Nosgard he did it because only task Force 141 knew about him being responsible for Pvt. Allen and the Moscow airport incident. It's also speculated that he tipped Makarov off about Allen to intentionally start a war with Russia to restore America's standing after the nuke in MW1. The DSM most likely had such info on it hence why he wanted it so bad.
