Probably one of my all time favorite missions in the trilogy. Very happy to keep it under 20 min on veteran (w/intro included). Probably woll change the thumbnail later though. Enjoy!

Honestly the Ramirez missions in this game were my favourite. I loved this one and great shooting.

Last mission ended Act 1. Welcome to Act 2. 0:13: And now you play as a new character again. Memetic one too, as we see later on. Never before has the Eastern Seaboard been a invasion point since the War of 1812 in this universe. Not even the saboteur ops by the Germans in WW1 can attest. But I have to say, it's extremely unlikely that such an invasion would be really hard to detect even with jammed satellites... *unless the military brass and some elements of the government DELIBERATELY opened the figurative floodgates in a reckless, vainglorious manner.* As a sidenote pertaining to the mission title and concept: not a fan of the otherwise average Red Dawn original, but I have to say, the Red Dawn +20 fanworks are quite an improvement. If you looked up while riding the Humvee, you'll see a Predator UAV that'll end up useful 2:21 mark: You'll hear this music track later on, guaranteed. If you hear enough of the radio chatter, there's talk about vehicles not seen in the game like the BTR-60 and the F-35 Lightning II, while there's mention of a "broken arrow", (specifically the use of all available air and artillery power to an allied position taken by the enemy). Try knifing the mailboxes, out of curiosity. 3:26: Time for me to reference a buncha names... roger that, Childs! 3:56: Understood, affable platooner King! 6:04: Loud and clear, franky Armitage! 6:29: Doing the part, Goliath! 7:38: Almost like in Half-Life. 9:13: Ja ja, Spawn! You sure put the sentry gun to good use. You can take out the BTR-80s. without needing the Predator via RPGs dropped by the VDV paratroopers. 11:12: You're not the Imam! 11:18: Can't believe they temporarily stole and used one of these. Yes, we know, Despero! 11:57: By your command, Despero! 12:15: Getting dicey right there, Anderson! 13:05: Stating the obvious, Flame King! 14:29: Says the Gaimanish otherworld Cat! I really wonder who Raptor is. The early game files actually planned the guy to be the POTUS, though I doubt he'll be based on Obama for real life timeline uncertainty (didn't stop Black Ops II having the J-SOC aircraft carrier named after him). 15:39: That's your last shot. Would have also wanted to see the Predator's downing as well. Alright, I'm tired of mentioning more of you for now, Andrias! 18:04: Thought the guy was a friendly. Should have noticed the camo. Why'd they put you on an exposed vehicle in the convoy? 19:04: I guess that's done, Tenma! Next should be the Brazil boys of Task Force 141 though. It's even the previous mission in chronological terms. An-124 Condors, F-15 Eagles, MiG-29s, Mi-28 Havocs, MH-53 Pave Lows, V-22 Ospreys... this mission is more loaded with vehicles compared to the last one that even I can't mention the ground vehicles at all. Apologies for that.

I agree with you, this is one of teh best designed levels, the mix of indoor and outdoor really plays well for mixing up the combat feel, and the death from above bits add spice. :D

Oddly enough, I think it's reminiscent of early Halo map designs. Mix of close/open encounters, with different weapons and utilities spread out if you know where to look.

You're right, it does feel like the usual Halo mission. One could even say the same with Titanfall 2, which was created by the same people who made this... who were unfortunately fired/quit during the production of MW3 2011, and it shows.

I'm of the firm belief that all this happened because some of the top brass, even above Shepherd, coyly and deliberately manipulated the international events at hand so to not only weaken Russia's resolve and military might, but also to turn their nation and military from hated graphite to heavily sympathized diamond. At least, that's what canned dialogue from Shepherd in the final mission claims. Suffice to say, they seemed to have succeeded like karmic houdini up to the Infinite Warfare timeline. Maybe even Black Ops II (unless you deliberately screwed things up there) via some timeline liberties.

I can see it. It has a very solid art direction and style. I booted up MW3 last night and it also held up really well despite being a decade old.

Infinity Ward really thought the russian army as competent enough to invade the US. Looking at it today... Glenn Morshower as Overlord, your shooting and the various tactical decisions make this video the best one when it comes to this mission.

I appreciate the kind words! I try my best for the lads. Yeah, it's typically Russia because Baby Boomers wrote these stories in the era and that's all they know. I think World in Conflict handled it a little better though.

Oh, yeah, Glenn was Rip Blazkowicz from Wolfenstein: The New Colossus. Not a huge fan of the game, but he sure nailed the hate factor of the guy. I'd rather prefer rogue forces as antagonists, like the Consortium and rebel U.S. divisions from Act of War. Also agree a lot on World in Conflict, though even its invasion premise via concealed cargo ships is still strange. I think I still prefer NVN2+Mask of the Betrayer more.

This mission is just like the movie Red Dawn. Even though this is fictional, it's a sad site 2 C, the land of the free B treated like this.😰 U spammed all the smoke grenades. I wonder how much the damages will cost Virginia from all the death & destruction? Burger Town is a spoof of Burger King in Call of Duty. When will those idiots learn that climbing up or down a ladder makes U vulnerable 2 gun fire?😅🤣😂 11:01 That's the best shotgun from RE4 until the remake nerfed it. 17:45 That's 1 way of taking out the trash.😆

Not a fan of the movie. Can recommend the Red Dawn +20 roleplay though. Granted, Battlefield 2 actually did this first. There are reloads. Enough to demonize the invaders as the years go by. Who knows, it might possibly lead to their demilitarization come Black Ops II and the ambitions of the China-led Strategic Defense Coalition (assuming the Black Ops original trilogy can be set in the same MW universe via some liberties). But of course. Small wonder Halo does grav pads. I think you mean 10:51. Didn't notice that.
