Great video, same feeling as your other posters. I was there in 1988 as a 15 year old Scout for a week. The Norweigan Scout and his family had a wee 16ft fiberglass boat with a 20HP moored down by their house and took me fishing a few times and I fished off the rocks into the little narrow channel their mooring was on. I could see the cod swimming around in the channel - hundreds of them - and watched them chasing my little pirk and hooking up. Will never forget that. What an amazing place.

If you go out on a boat in ålesund in march when the skrei are there you cannot help notice that most cod are caught not on the bottom but in midwater ,this is because thats where the herring are . I think shading from the shore might well be better than a bait on the bottom .

Hi Steve, it's funny that you say that. Because, for every night video. I filmed a days jigging video too, but caught not a fish! Many people, I talked to thought they wouldn't take a dead bait. Funny thing is all fish I caught had already spawned. So maybe the pre spawn fish will take lure, but not a bait. Thanks Brother 👍😁

Hi, I fished some Sweden on the west, but it was no good on the fjords, but maybe out sea is better , they still catch Fatfish in Malmö but the cod almost gone. Lots of pike on the east cost. Good luck Brother 👍

Hi Paul. The place where I'm fishing, is the spawning ground for the cod. There is 50- 60m of Water there. And it only happens once a year. 10- 15m normally, and your good. Thanks Brother 👍😁

Hi Paul, I don't use mono anymore except for slide baits. But when I did and I was fishing in Norway I would use 30lb . And for standard fishing I would use 15lb. Hope this helps, see you on the beach.👍😁

No fish under 15kg ????? guess you have been told a "fishermans story"!!!!!! your best bet for big shorecaught fish in this area, is to go for conger in autumn! if you find the right spots, there is a fair chance of fish over 20kg!

all fish should be allowed to spawn before they are harvested to inshore the next generation but the commercial fleets take no notice of that , they want to rape the shoals when they are full of spawn so there will be very little left for others to gather from the depleted stocks for future generations.

What you are saying is partly true, but in Norway, they have taken length to insure that commercial fleet aren't allowed to use nets when the spawn is taking place. generally commercial fisherman only do what they are allowed. So the fight is not really with the fishermen themselves but with the money man instead. fish on brother 👍😁
