Thanks for this! Scripting looks a lot more approachable after seeing how similar it is to expressions. The one thing I’m having trouble finding is an Adobe page listing all the commands you can run like window.add and addProperty.

Hey! You probably found out by now, but the solution is just to assign your new effect to a variable and then acces its name as myVariableName.name = "The name you want your effect to have".
