Just noticed Lelouch has the Wings of Zeon on his collar. Nice touch Sunrise. Actually looking back on the series, in a way Lelouch was a type of Char Clone. Hatred towards a family of 'nobles' who wrongly used him/his family name? Check. Mask and usage of alias / secret identity? Check. Ideology with the hopes of human reformation beyond a point of hatred and wars? Check. Talent for rousing speeches? Check. Waging a war to end all wars? Check. Yep, we have a pretty good heroic variant of a Char Clone.

So I may think Lelouch(and the world) would have been better off if he just became a proper Emperor, and would just like to point out once against that literal minutes before him confronting Charles he tried to commit suicide so why C.C. or Suzaku think he should make a plan with his life on the line is beyond me. That being said it's such a beautiful moment of character growth for him to finally put his plans and the people as a whole over Nunnally. Fitting for someone with the power of the King.

I think they want to show Kallen's admiration and loyalty for Zero. Then, when she found out who really Zero is, she somehow became close to him and even wanted to know everything. At some point, they shared their struggles and both wanting to fight for family and friends. But I agree that Gino and Kallen have a chemistry.
