Note: Specifically for M2 devices, avoid the 256 gb variant as it is half the speed of even the M1 machines. Choose 512 or more for M2 devices. This can be helpful for longterm use as faster SSD can alleviate limited RAM swap usage after a few years.

Just install docker, and use different containers for node java etc That’s my way to go. Day I need to unstall I remove container image clean as whistle

Hi, I have windows Desktop and I am learning gamedev, my pc spec is amd ryzen 5 5600x and rtx 3060, 16gb ram and 500gb ssd also i have mac book air m1 2020 given by company, my question is shall i buy macbook pro m2 pro (inr 2lakh) for my game dev? the reason why I was looking to buy is portability I can carry my mac and learn code from anywhere however if i stick to desktop i have to sit on same place and code what are your views?

Hello, is 16/512 m2 air good for flutter? Any issues of laptop heating? Should I go for 16/512 m2 pro? I love new design of air but pro has a fan for cooling. I want something for the long term and for my primary freelance requirements. Both have almost the same price.

since so long i had question in my mind i.e In mac air M2. it doesn't give allow to create any folder for MongoDB (/data/db) reason it says your file is read only so we can't make any change in those folder so what should we suppose to do

Hey Adnan, hope you’re doing well. Please do not buy the 8gb/256gb model in M2 Air as it has just one Nand chip which is even slower than the 8gb/256gb M1 air. Basically the read/write speed is much slower which will eventually drain your ram. Go with the 8gb/512gb it’s sufficient to do small to medium projects, can even handle the bigger tasks but just needs a bit more time than the pro models. Happy coding 🎉
