CODE LYOKO - EP34 - Missing Link
In an attempt to save Aelita from the Scyphozoa, Yumi finds herself engaged in a brutal combat against the monster. Shortly afterwards, Jeremy sees that, as a result of the combat, Yumi can no longer be devirtualized. In fact, it looks like a vital part of her is missing -- her virtual DNA code! How can he get it back to her? After numerous attempts at finding a solution, our heroes realize that the only way to help Yumi is to go inside of XANA and look for the missing link -- in Sector 5… danger ahead!

Forreal! Don't know if you're familiar with Sailor Moon, but there was one time where Sailor Venus dressed up as Sailor Moon to trick some villains. The villains fell for it, but that's because Sailor Moon has dumb logic. I love the show, but couldn't stand how unrealistic it was to have Usagi's (Sailor Moon) friends not recognize her when the only thing different about her was her outfit and accessories.

Sissi is nice simply because they asked her nicely. Its really not that strange, deep down she just wants to be friends with them and the thought of being a reliable person for the Lyoko gang pleases her. Most of the times she picks a lot of fights w them but its worth to note that a lot of times she's not the one starting it. Imo, she wouldn't have done a lot of scheming if the protagonist just treated her better. I really like this episode because it shows how well fleshed out she is.

Well Jeremy says at the end "Or she's really crazy about Ulrich.", I believe by that he means that he thinks that Sissy may have realized that if she's just nice and does a favor or two unconditionally she may be seen by Ulrich as someone who's at least approachable and can be talked to nicely. It's a smarter move than stalking him, bullying Aelita, and just all around being a bitch to everyone around her. In fact unless I'm missing an episode she doesn't actively try to ruin their day in some way except for episode 95.

There are a few episodes where Sissy gets character development each season but because Code Lyoko was renewed on a season by season basis & they weren’t allowed to make any character thread too complex or long lasting (basically almost all cartoons have it so where they want kids to be able to pick up more or less everything from one episode & producers can only get away with so much), she had to revert back to her actual self each season before her next character development episode.

To be fair...if they don't reset it (with the in universe reason of "return to the past") in a good portion of cases there's an indication of someone getting ready to die (usually one of the students or one of the lyoko warriors) plus if they wait too long and the person or people do die the "return to the past" doesn't bring them back

Thomas Houghton You should see the episode 0. There, Sissi is rather nice and joins the group for a while until they start being mean to her just because she warned the school because she felt like their lives were in danger. That's when she starts being mean to the group the rest of the series, because they started treating her badly. But the series shows that Sissi is still nice, but her development literally gets taken away sometimes because of the return to the past wiping her memories.

The return to the past might've taken her development and memories but it doesn't take the guys' memories, they have seen her be better and they know that treating her better makes her better yet they continue to antagonize her every time, usually they just roast her for no reason. And I've seen people call her a snitch for telling people but wouldn't you? If know your friends might be getting electrocuted to death by a weird monster wouldn't you get help? Hell didn't Yumi do the exact same thing when XANA was trying to blow up the city?

When I first saw this episode I was wondering why the Scyphozoa went after and attacked Yumi instead if Aelita like he normally does now we know the reason why. After Ulrich rescued Yumi from that crazy data stealing and evil data planting jellyfish Yumi was probably thinking to herself: “Now I know how my best and only female friend Aelita feels.”
