Aside from the stow away pocket for the straps they also changed the pulls as well as the key leash from the retractable pull to a fidlock.the v2 also.changed the buckles for the compression straps.the side compression and main fidlock buckle are the same.but the compression strap uses the newer buckles too.the padding for the back has also changed if i remember right the v1 had the mesh while the v2 ( grey black white and gold) as well as the hybrids all have those changes.they also started using the re cor fabric on the cordura sides.(got the v2 in desert gold recently) your vids are 👌👌👌👌

I'm planning to get one too. I hope a gimbal (Hohem iSteady Pro 4) would fit very well in it. The gimbal length is 11"

I love that gimbal for its features and I use that around the house...its downside is the portability. I use the Insta360 Flow for travel

I dig the expandability of the pack. Also can't go wrong with fidlocks.

Couple of months have already passed..i wonder what other brands/model of sling bags would be considered as an alternative to the xpod/xpod2? Same techwear-esque look, w/ neoprene-like material at the back, number of pockets for easy organization, & overall functionality

Hey buddy, great content first of all. So I’ve owned nearly every iteration of every pack made by code of bell and the X-Pod was originally got me into slings so I think I own at least 5 or 6 with 3 different versions (others just different color ways) as well as a couple that I custom replaced with cobra and cobra FM BUCKLES all around and the one that I currently rock most I replaced every plastic buckle with either fidlock v-buckle connecting the wings to the main body or the fidlock sliders on compression straps as well as the stabilizer one all of the latter being 20mm whereas the side ones being 25mm (1inch webbing) fidlock v buckles. Question do you think it’s worth to grab the newest version with eco pac and that orange camo rip stop or not? Try to answer this question with a mindset who thinks x-pod is top 3 slings of all time and code of bell is top 5 brands for me

Hmm, tough one, but I do think there is enough of an update in this version to include it in your collection. I also really like the color options so I guess it's a YES! 😎

Hello, it seems you do a good job with your fanny pack. Tell me one thing, what difference do you find between the original Pitch Back that is made of Xpac? I see the difference with the new ones like the DayBreak? They are recycled materials Nylon RE/COR™ RN66, ECOPAK™ fabric that is waterproof, and resists UV discoloration. What do you think is just Marketing? Or does the new DayBreak differ from the original Pitch Back? I await your comments. Thank you.

My xpod II straps slip and loose position when I take it off/on, shift bag around etc. I often have to readjust the strap to my prefered length. How do you prevent this? Thanks!

I occasionally have this same issue. Not enough to the point where it bugs me though. It’s the straps themselves that are a little too slick

I'm guessing based on your latest Instagram story, you weren't piloting the biohazard flight from a few days ago! 😂 I love those two little side pockets; I could fit my Machine Era slim wallet in there, which meant no need to swing the X-Pod around to reach for my wallet. I'm thinking I'll be buying this new version soon and the Daybreak color looks nice!

Looks like the ideal weather for your review. Great bag but too big for a sling IMHO. Had an earlier version but not for long.

Problem with sling bags is sometimes you bring a compact umbrella or small water flask you end up holding it in your hands. I love walking hands free (which is why I prefer a backpack) But there are those times we’re I just want to use a sling. This bag has been in my crosshairs since they came out. Instead I bought an AER city sling last year. But nowadays, if I had money I’d probably get an Xpod because it appears it can fit a small flask AND I can strap on a compact umbrella with those compression straps. Thanks for the review bro!

You bet! Thanks for the comment and I agree, the balance between backpack and a sling like this can be tough. Although I did pack a water bottle in this video, often times that is the difference maker. If I need a large bottle I go backpack.
