Got the waxed tan CPL24 and TD35 myself…absolutely gorgeous! Would’ve loved the olive as well, but I already have the olive green xpac CPL24 and it’s highly unlikely I could’ve snagged the olive waxed canvas before it sold out anyway lol. The waxed tan is stunning and far more stylistically versatile for me than adding another olive set would’ve been. Agree with your comments on the blood orange: really cool, not for me, especially in that fabric. I might go for a blood orange in their normal 800D, but I don’t think that color matches the heritage vibe of waxed canvas very well.

Love waxed canvas but personally I find the CPL24 too small and MHP 3.5 too big. Would've gotten both if it was on CPL28 and CAS2. I did grab the CAP2 in black and I'm happy with that - Question for you. Which one of these Griffin is your favorite?

That's a tough question but I'd have to say right now I am really digging the CPL in this material best. But I also want to spend more time with the MHP. Probably going to do a dedicated MHP video soon.

They have some official distributers in Europe such as Mukama which also offer this collab so that could be a bit cheaper than buying directly from EG

@@JBOutside1 I wonder about the weight gain of the bags though. Especially a sling, which % wise will take a larger hit and I don't like being heavy. Otherwise it is just an uncomfortable backpack :D A CAP1, going into another bag wouldn't worry me too much weight wise.

I’m in the uk and the trakke is £300 and the griffin would work out around £390

Really tough call as both are fantastic designs. I really like both. I suppose I would say whichever front area makes more sense for your style. The side opening CPL vs the drop down pocket of the Storr. I like the laptop area of the CPL better. Other than those features the look and feel of the waxed canvas is the biggest distinguishing factor. Well that and 4L of volume.

It’s quite difficult however when you can’t actually see and feel them in person. Do you think the griffin is worth the extra £90? Great question. Before the Griffin I'd say Kit Bag but the new material is really good and classic on the TD35 so we'll have to see after I use the TD35 a bit more.

Just lean it against something, it's seldom a human takes a bag off in the middle of an empty space with nothing around and just stands there. A bag that sits flat on the floor sags away from the body with weight and looks sloppy and droopy worn. I'm the opposite, I see a bag with a flat bottom and immediately take it off my buy list. The GWA Citadel for example, awesome bag but has a totally flat bottom, pass!!! You should give that a look.

@j.taveras8447 interesting perspective i have not heard. I'm trying my first TAD bag and they deff angle at the bottom and year most say it's like a rocketship strapped to you. Maybe it's that not flat bottom?

Sort of. They only typically do one bag during these type of collaborations or at least one backpack-style. Maybe in the future they'll do a CHZ version.

I might be alone here, but that orange just clashes so hard. I mean, I get that that's sort of the idea behind it, but jesus it's an eyesore. The outside looks amazing, though. CPL24 with that exterior is basically my dream bag. The interior just makes it an instant "no." Otherwise, I'd buy one to replace my current CPL24 just to have that exterior.

The orange will fade into a beautiful dull color after use. Of all the colors it's the one I would've bought(but ever goods insist on the front zipper on the wrong side for righties) and will look more beautiful and unique as it wears in.
