I improved this a bit got higher dmg number what I used was Passive: One handed mastery Swift destruction Mind/vitality up Strength/dexterity up Active: Sacrificial edge Cleansing light Overdrive Cognitive zeal Blood sacrifice Phantom assault Circulating pulse I do over 3k basic attack circulating pulse dose about 15k phantom assault 7k you can swap out circulating pulse or phantom assault for and elemental buff or adrenaline for higher dmg me personally I like the variety of these two attacks I'm also using blazing claw and venous claw slower attacks I find this gives higher damage making it more ideal for hit and run attacks making you harder to hit instead as back up I use argent wolf blade for faster attacks does 2600 basic attack my weapons aren't fortified yet so you can get farther damage P.s great video inspired me to improve it better to my liking and playstyle hope you don't mind me changing it up if you want do a video on it and compare that would be awesome anyway keep up the good vids p.s to the p.s I copied and pasted my comment as a reply to you so hopefully more people see and have a another build to work with should have done that in the first place sorry lol

I KNEW Dexterity was the way to go! I’m definitely going for a dex build first as my main playstyle. Although I’ll definitely prep all builds on one character eventually...whenever I get the time for it.

Io surely is one of the best, whilst she doesn’t do the most damage in melee, it’s still reasonable, she has good spells, heals you a larger amount, and, for me at least, is very good at not dying

I did your strength build with one tweak. Went for the queenslayer and the self kill cause I didn’t have the ice buff, and holy cow. It lasts like a minute and a half and you become tanky, get quick dodge, and hit like a truck. Melted the final 2 bosses before it ran out

u should relook all the buffs, the relief buff let ur weapon be faster, in the case of 1 arm sword, like in the video, u will se that he has normal weapon speed, but with the prometeus buff this will change to fast that will make ur combos faster and response time, u can combine this with burst powerupps to make a lot of damage. in the blood veil is the same, but u will get another type of evasion skills, (no just jump to other side) u will be able to make a longer and faster translation with the relief buff. all u have to see is that ur veil and weapon have to be like 25 or 20 weight (really light) to move that way, i am queenkiller and i close to kill the last boss in les than 15 segs (in the perfect spot)

I used a dex build for my first playtrough and went with the katana from fire catwomen, the preorder blood vial, prometheus code and the passive that increases dmg based on mobility (quick). I wonder if you can throw that passive in your build maybe in exchange for max ichor?! I'll give it a try anyways

You could. The main reason for max ichor is so we can get both our buffs prior to a boss 100% of the time whereas otherwise you need to either drain up to 20 or use consumables.

There are a lot of weapons are based on dex scaling, like the Stripper Boss's weapon, some greatsword as well. Not a big fan of longsword, I like to rock the Bayonet on dex build.

If you decide to use the sickle, it's good to know that you can cancel the second swipe on the basic with defensive options. The timing is tight though, but it makes two hit attacks much better to know you don't have to sit through all those recovery frames. Also combo/light works like a golf swing and can knock even big enemies around.... It's a bit inconsistent though.

Imo, dext is a bit weak overall in this game. It doesn't have the crowd control and balance of strength, nor the range/burst of dark gifts, and the one handed active gifts just kinda suck (I get staggered half of the time during the animation of phantom assault). I don't see anything in dext that's better than other builds, except drain attack damage, which doesn't apply to bosses btw.

I used the same build, and I think that Mia skill is bad and I not recommend to use it, as for me, I used magic in it's slot, it's more useful I think.

Why this sword and not the Hanekumono (i think that it was called). It has better damage. Also Queenslayer blood code gives access to a huge buff that will kill you when runs out, but improves your dmg, stamina, and dodge speed and attack speed and fully heals you. Activating that in a boss fight is good because if you kill the boss CD's reset and it won't kill you.

The Hanemukoro has slower swings and the 4th attack slows things down even more, whereas Executioner uses a slightly tweaked version of the Queenslayer Blade with the 4th attack being the Machete's 2nd attack. I've been running my 1H build with Queenslayer myself since the weight limit is a bit more forgiving and so that I can have some different buff types.

As silver mentioned the Hanemukoro move set is inferior. Final Gift or whatever is decent, but lower damage than Sacrifical and obviously comes with the caveat that you die if you're not killing fast enough.

Get the weapon from Louis, a few buffs and you're good to go I'd say. But early on the bayonet would be the best dex weapon

I'm gonna share my "dex build" with you since i can't agree with using sacrificial edge. pls try it out and if you want, feel free to use for your content. Bloodcode: Queenslayer Weapon: Iceblood/machete BV: Noble Silver Passives: focused skillspeed, one handed sword mastery, dmg for mobility rating, regen boost buffs: adrenaline, overpower, cleansing light, element buffs, final journey for bossfights (this is where you can switch to machete) skills: onehanded swordskills of cholce (5 hit combo is dmg king) This also features a potent Mind stat for efficient use of 1 ranged spell (bloodspike, icespike, firespike...) A swift dex/sword build taht doesn't cripple you in any way and survives via mobility and cleansing light + regen passive

Why use final journey over Sacrifical edge though? We can cancel out the majority of SE health loss and it's a 100% damage boost vs. final which is only 50%.

​@@FightinCowboy well I got 20 Ichor by default, letting me cast final journey, adrenaline and overpower before the fight starts. If i want to switch to machete (to deal more skill dmg) i still quickdodge. I don't have to spend the 10 Ichor for cleansing light, it's just a safety net. It's just not as risky for the same result. Just try it out, it's 2 minutes of your time. if you don't like it, forget it. I just wiped aurora on ng+ and so far it's very reliable Edit: tested everything again. your build even does a bit less dmg. I start at 1177 with one quick hit pre buffs. I did drop the focused skill speed for stregth/dex for a bit better scaling though the differnce isn't too big

You can get all of the weapons that the companion characters wield for 50 trade points with each of them. An easy way to do this is to trade Old World Collectibles to the guy in the place where you killed the first boss and get items that are worth 5 trade points for that character.

During a combo of regular attacks, use R1+X to do a combo drain. You need to use *at least* one normal weapon attack first or it doesn't work. Example: [Square], then R1+X.
