Was so excited I forgot to mention the damn Veil LOL. Hedgehog Fort, you get in in the Frozen Souls area and it offers pretty high Dark scaling combined with a beefy amount of defense. Very solid option for a mage constantly in the fray.

Hey I wanted to know can you do a class that's very good on hard mode I am stuck at the ice and fire mini boss and I want to know what will be the best build for that I tried a powerful Mage but that did not work I tried strength but that did not work can you do a build for hardcore players like myself I would appreciate it

That’s really good stuff, quite similar to the build I run. Just 2 things: 1. you don’t really need this veil, and can go with something less tanky and with higher dark damage (and use a flat damage reduction defensive spell when needed); I recommend the Blackblood Liberator. 2. this lighter blood veil allows you to use a two-handed sword. I recommend the Warped Blade. The build is filthy good. I havent unlocked those blood codes yet so right now the ideal one for me for a hybrid build is Isis.

If you dont have Cerulean Spear(pre-order bonus), you can use the Impaler, both have same moveset, except a bit different from charge heavy

Could we see a build that's is quick/normal with 1 handed swords, normal with 2 handed swords. Is pretty agile and doesn't fat roll, but is also set up kinda tanky? Like I wanna use those weapons, keep my speed and dodge speed from Prometheus, but have the tankiness of like atlas. And yes, I'm still early in the game. Just unlocked Mia and did the level that introduced Jack at the end. Im using Prometheus currently with Louis sword lvl 3 and the cerulean spear lvl 3 with the nightwing veil. I'm not perfect at dodging, so I'd like to use the zweihander for blocking and added power when needed but don't wanna take forever to swing it. I'm also bad at back stabbing, so something with good starting ichor would be helpful. I dont know that this is really possible, but any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

I'm not sure if it's possible to get tanky + normal rolls with any of the good greatswords aside from niche instances like final journey

Would a 1 hand sword tank build be decent, I’ve got one in the works but it’s hard to judge how “good” it’s is because I don’t have a good baseline to compare it too

The problem with that is that you'd have a rough time getting a 1h sword to have enough defense to be viable

is there an agreed level to stop leveling up characters like dark souls? or should i just keep going until i reach the max level?

Max level is 300. Considering there's no PvP, and with DLC coming out, being max level shouldn't make things too easy.

Leveling up doesn't do too much all around, but going over 150 is bad if you still need to max proficiencies . I think at 170 I was no longer able to increase gifts unless it was a boss, and the increase was so small I had to go to enhanced difficulty just to find SOME gain. It was still absurdly bad. I want to say 100-120 is a good place to stop, after you max proficiencies it doesn't matter, might as well level cap for some small hp and VERY small stamina gains. You could also just level up anyways and use Awake items to max out gifts, but Awake 2XXXX were very hard to gather for me. It's all RNG, but every other Awake was incredibly easy to get compared to this. I don't believe level affects damage or defense, pretty sure it's just health and stamina, that's way NG+ 6 is even feasible at lvl 1. Damage is all blood code, weapon for melee, and blood veil for "magic".

You can infinitely farm awakes from depth bosses and late game the load takes longer than the kill

Huh...You need the queen blood code, which is restoring all the memories, but also the queens claw for that passive, which is for not doing that at 1 of them? Either I'm understanding something wrong or this is definitely only after 2 playthroughs?

Most builds are for NG+ because it's impossible to have access to all blood codes without NG+
