Cowboy please... It has more Ichor becuase of the passive boost you gained from having the 4 ichor passive(you can turn off passive bonus' by hitting Y/Triangle)... Furthermore Blast bolt, Fourfold Verdict, Dark shout, execution and purging thorn all get scaling from both mind and willpower. So using Queen begets you a higher base mobility, the same ichor count(afaik no ichor base goes over 30), extra scaling to over half of your spells AND you can use the Ivory Grace line of veils to get yourself scaling for both mind and willpower while having quick mobility with pretty much all the go to swords.

@@Newby1 False. Dark gifts scale solely on Willpower and light gifts scale solely on Mind. The stats you may be referring to (in the gift descriptions) simply show what's needed to slot the gift.

The Ivy drain attacks are slow because they’re long range; holding down the drain button will make an AoE cursor show up (it’s a dark cloud on the ground) and you can move it with the left stick. This is great for alpha strikes.

FightinCowboy thanks for the build cowboy! I got another you might like. It’s Fionn blood code. Weapon drain rating up, health stimulant, vow of ichor, perseverance up for passives. For attacks it’s ice barrage, foul blood barrier, shifting hollow, cleansing light, iron will, any kind of elemental weapon, restorative offering, and antibody generation. I’ve ended up using an Atlas rifle, Brodiaea, and The Queen Blood Code. This is because I can get better damage using passives. This allows me to use Swift Destruction for a 20% damage boost without using the second passive for reduced weight. The rest of my passives are different. I can switch to the argent blade if I really need to for drain. Aside from those changes, my build is mostly the same. The increase of 20% to all types of damage is worth the ~40 less willpower. Also both Queen and Harmonia have the same Ichor, 30(60), the Queen’s increased Weight let’s me use Swift Destruction with only one passive slot, so long as I am using Brodiaea. This build gives me a bit more damage along with slightly more survivability. In addition, the basic rifle shot does more damage for 1 Ichor than the 2 Ichor Blood Shot, making it a more efficient way of dealing with small enemies and finishing off nearly dead bosses. It can even be buffed to change the damage type to match enemy weaknesses.

Drain attacks with ivy is actually the best because you can move the attack marker and stretch it to longer than most enemies detection distance I always use ivy to clean out minions before heading to boss room, and I can remain undetected the whole time unless the charged drain doesn't take them out in one shot

Just use Promethius code, pair it with multi stat passives, and a Veil with good scaling then bam. You're now a Greatsword Mage.

One thing like about you build it creative :). I use Mia blood code. I call bayonett mage. Mia skill buff both bayonett damage and dark gifts. So it similar you build but little less damage still great late game build ^_^

Awesome this is what I’ve run for most of the game except some of the spells you get late game. I prefer this playstyle aswell going for backstabs and dodging attacks over just standing there blocking and then melee.

It's such a pain in the ass for the casting times. I run a pure caster management build, one of the upsides being that merciless reaper never goes away due to not swinging any weapons. Managing cleansing light, blood sacrifice, and regeneration makes up for the long cooldown on your spells, so I spam ember reversal and plan to interchange blast bolt with ichorous ice on my second playthrough. Dodge spam is my defense, sometimes combined with defense buffs, like iron will, foulblood, or dammerung's charged heavy defense buff, or valiant heart to spam dodge more. AOE is nice, but in the tower of trials it's hard asf to even cast with the absurd wind up time.

Fextralife already has all that info in it. It's impossible to get all blood codes in one run because 4 of the bosses drop 2 different blood codes depending on if you save them or not.

Caster is OP for some bosses but man so far my favorite is fighter, i always keep going back with my longsword. That and the darkseer, but I haven't unlocked all blood codes yet so i'm sure i'll switch but so far fighter/tanking is my favorite.

@@iamergoproxy3476 ohh why then you are really early in the game. Im on my 4th playthrough, ng+3. Only one of those are enhanced difficulty. Once the game is over you can pick same or enhanced difficulty for your following playthrough to get different blood codes which i highly advise to do once you get there.

The stats you're looking at in the gift description have nothing to do with scaling and are simply what's required to slot the gift. All gifts of the same type have the exact same damage multiplier and the only difference is the type of damage being done.

If a move costs Absurdly high Ichor and high level(like 200+) to pull it off/ use more than once or other moves in accompany with it, then do it. If the cast time is trash but when it’s casted the damage is insane, do it. I just want to see full on massive AoE, Queen level worthy damage.

I have a challenge for any sorcerer, have u tried to beat those 2 fast enemies on the snow white depths map? with the npc help only or without... There is where u need to try if ur builds are competent

Flame reversal, dancing blaze, cleansing light and blood sacrifice = massive fire spam and melts pretty much anything including the magic resistant final boss

The only reason to use the harmonia code over queen is for supernatural blood and you aren't even using it. Queen has like 12 less dark power in exchange for better stats in like literally everything else. It gives you so many more options for weapons with the stat and weight improvements and also meets requirements for more spells. Namely buffs that will be useful in NG+. Also you are completely overlooking the reversal line of spells with instant cast times, good range, cheap cost, and high damage.

And I assume you were only not using it cause you didn't know it buffs spell damage. The extra damage from swift destruction far outweighs the measly 12 dark power btw. So you are actually wrong. For what you are doing queen is better. I'll leave it at that. Lol

Queen blood code is better: Increased base mobility, more weapon damage, same ichor stock, more health (as far as I remember) and, most importantly, you get the short teleport with bayonet which makes you pretty much immune against flailing bosses and AOEs when spammed. The worst downside is about 60 dark gift less, but who cares when you have 1500+ dark gift.. I figured that you only really need Blast Bolt and Fourfold Verdict (besides one of the sand AOEs for trash mobs). Two hits of Blast Bolt do the same (or slightly more) damage as Purging Thorn but you have almost no risk of missing and no cast time. My strategy for boss fights is to regularly send off some Fourfold Verdict and spam Blast Bolts in between while doing hit and run with the bayonet teleport to refill my ichor stock. And I don't really think that it's overpowered. Sure, it does a lot of burst damage, but the ichor stock is depleted very fast. Regaining ichor during boss fights takes quite some time because you can only land a few hits before having to zap away again.

Worsening: - Balance -1 - Gift Dark -60 Improvements: - HP +97 - Stamina +3 - Weight Limit +23 -> Bayonet weight turning mobility to Quick, giving short teleport ability (though have mistaken Harmonia base mobility with that one of Isis) - Secondary damage +101 - Gift Light +53 - Drain Attack +50 - Pierce Defense +1 Total Gift Dark: 1536

Bayonet has less drain than the sword I'm using making it inferior imo, especially since you have no need for the ranged attack the bayo offers, if you're using a sword mobility is still Normal. Light gift is irrelevant since our damage is all dark. You're basically getting 97 health & 3 stamina + a minor increase to weapon/drain damage in exchange for sacrificing spell damage, in a spell build. Health/stam aren't focus points here, spell damage is. Weapon is strictly for draining and not a source of any measurable damage. I mean feel free to do whatever floats your boat but to suggest it's better is outright incorrect.

@@FightinCowboy I'm not trading insignificant 60 dark magic for some insignificant amount of health and stamina, I'm doing it for the insane mobility. I don't know why you assume that the sword has an higher effective drain rating since the base weapon drain rating and attack speed are identical, I even played it side by side against the bayonet. So no, the Queen Code gives 8% higher drain attack, even when ignoring that I'm much faster at the enemy to land some melee hits as I would be with a sword. I say it again: The mobility is not "still Normal", it's Quick. The range attack isn't useless either since it can replace skills like Blood Shot to make space for another active skill. Queen Code easily outperforms Harmonia, unless you are parsing at a stationary punchbag..

If you have both a Sword and a Bayonet augmented for Drain, Sword has a a higher drain. You're confusing weapon drain with veil drain. If you want to use your veil a ton it could be valuable but that's asking to get booped with Ivy/Thorns imo. In the time it takes to cast a charged drain I could have gained twice the ichor just swinging my sword. Given that sword is gonna be more efficient at pulling in ichor, Queen has no change to mobility. Let me re-itterate. Bayonet is inferior to Sword for drain, Sword has identical mobility with Queen. At the end of the day you're sacrificing a ~4% spell damage boost for more health and stamina. With a playstyle that involves staying in the back and dealing massive deeps, I'd rather have that damage.

I wish mage builds weren't quite as risky as they are in NG+ enhanced. With all the enemies buffing themselves and nearly 1 or 2-shotting you, there's rarely enough time to get off more than an instant cast every 5 seconds.

It is a drop from the mobs in the last area before the last boss, make sure to have the passive Revenan'ts greed to make it a lil smother in you farm, look for mobs with the sword and shield or the sword solo, and kill them to try get the sword to drop, im still trying for the Hammer before i go into Ng+

It irritates me that mages aren't better. With a half decent bayonet build, you can hit for almost 25k with fusillade rondo, and around 7k per (charged) shot. It's easier on ichor, and stomps with dmg.

Your fight with queens knight shows it, long cd in average, requires long window for casting (without eva's or Mia's fast cast), straggering not seen in boss fight = no window, ichor drains to 0. Damage for thorn is at 14k, which take 30secs to cd and 10 ichor. 2 close barrage could already equal it, no cast time, lower ichor. This build is obviously weak and weaker than triple barrage. Unless you are an expert at backstab plus you do cd reset, or else, this won't work in ng+ ...

Queen's Throat blood code, you have too fail saving the 4th Successor to get it, saving the 4th gives you Harmonia Blood code do, so i decided o save all on my firs playtrue and to not save them on 2nd

You need to have found the vestiges to be able to revive

@@charliemonnery9736 For each successor you'll find the vestiges somewhere in that level, talk to the attendants before each successor, fully restore the memory, then after the boss fight you'll revive them. For Eos vestige each piece if left by the attendant you talked to after you've left that area if you revived the successor.
