This is exactly what I wanted since I started seeing the influx of different note taking tools. Will try it out very soon, so happy to see it's open source.

We'd love to know how it's gone for you if you gave it a shot! Many users migrating over their Markdown have just used our Markdown Import Pod to get up and running: wiki.dendron.so/notes/f23a6290-2dec-45dc-b616-c218ee53db6b/

@@kevins8 Great! After using Typora for a few years, going back to separate edit/preview windows, would be a big setback. Is there a way to switch between ASCII and rendered document in the same window with a keystroke right now?
@lonbpalmer3 жыл бұрын
@@PaulJurczak I consider separate edit / preview a great feature. I don't want to think about how the notes are being rendered, I simply want to get them out.

Dendron is kinda cool. But I am somewhat sceptical if having a PKM build on an existing app (in this case vscode) is a good idea, compared with obsidian, logseq and others
@kevins83 жыл бұрын
The primary way of using Dendron is inside VSCode. We're also working on adding additional features into publishing so that you can use it as a fully fledged web client

At the risk of making myself look a fool, which is not hard. A couple of questions if I may. 1/ How does this compere to a note taking program such as Tomboy or Gnote? 2/ Does any one know of a very simple KZbin video that would cover Dendron, ie Dendron in 10 minutes. I have not yet installed this on my VSC platform, nor have I tried it.

Notion is much better: Both technical and non-technical people can write content, can access the notes from any device, permissions are very intuitive, has a ton of useful elements. I don't see any advantages here..
