Shift + Left/Right Arrow Keys -> select characters Ctrl + Shift + Left/Right Arrow keys -> select words Ctrl + Shift + Up/Down Arrow Keys -> select line Ctrl + X -> Cut copy Complete Line (I use in Visual Studio, don't know about others) These ones and some more specifically For Visual Studio: Alt + Up/Down Arrow keys -> move line Up/Down Select text and then use Alt + Up/Down Arrow keys -> Moves the selected text Up/Down Ctrl + F -> Find a word in Current document/ Complete Solution Ctrl + Q -> search for a File/Setting in Complete solution Ctrl + Up/Down arrow keys -> Scroll page Up/Down Bonus + Secret: On windows 10 use Windows Key+V to open clipboard I use all of these, Let me know if you know more shortcuts which are useful.

I watched this video on 19 oct and started with typing master software. Could complete only 9 lessons out of 12 in the free trial. Then I proceeded with typing club website and completed 600/685 lessons in about three weeks. Right now I type with speed of 50-55wpm and 97% average accuracy. Thanks Harry , after watching this vid 2months ago in July starting i downloaded that trial app and learned touch typing and then started practicing my typing from type racer, after learning touch typing my speed at first went down from 38wps to 16-20 eps but now after practising a lot in the type racer website, my avg speed is 52-62 wps, my max speed which I reached till now is 73 wps as of 14th august. Imma keep grinding till I can, just came here to thank you and tell the new people that its possible.

Good.This is a good time to start coz u will have more time to do it.But when u reach higher classes time management will be hard.I would suggest you to not go to any college if you are passionate about coding.There are institutions which provide 6 month hardcore training which will get u placed in a company within an year.So u can save 3 years which most probably others will spend extra in college and by the time they complete it you will have 3 years work experience which will be very beneficial.

Very nice video.. 150 wpm is quite impressive. I have been typing (full time admin work) for over 9 years, and 80% of my job included typing. But still my maximum speed is 96 wpm. I am yet to see someone (in person) who could achieve 150 wpm (not that there aren't any, but haven't met anyone in person during my whole career).

@@intelligentmonkey4989 thats good. And if your accuracy is above 95% its very good. But if thats the case you will soon realize that you have reached the threshold and moving above that speed is nearly impossible (unless you are naturally gifted)

First my typing speed was 25-30 wpm with 2 fingers then i started 10 fingers touch typing on sir's advice and my speed decreased drastically to 10-15 wpm but after practicing for 2 months its 45 wpm 🔥

Let's say, there are two people who are complete beginners to touch typing. Person A practices touch typing for 3 hours a day for 20 days, while Person B practices 1 hour a day but for 60 days. Ultimately, both people spend an equal amount of time (60 hours) practicing. Would both people have a similar level of proficiency in the end or would there be any significant differences between both people?

Yeah, there is no need to give 1/8 th of your day just to practice typing Typing speed matters but not that much I would say 1 hour until you reach 80-90 wpm & after that 15-30 minutes As harry bhai said, it is a journey
